Horrible customer service
I must say I hardly ever take the time to fill these out. Mostly because I'm very busy and usually my stays at other hotels I have stayed at meet expectation. Unfortunately The Orleans didn't even come close. After accidentally leaving a blanket my grandmother made who has now passed a d 300.00 pair of glasses. I called the hotel In a desperate hope they had them. Call the first time and was shuffled off to a voice mail. Waiting another day and not receiving a call back I call again. At this point I'm upset and worried I lost irreplaceable blanket and glasses so I may see at night. I was transfered to housekeeping where I was treated in my opinion so rudely I could not believe it. The room she was in while talking to me was so noisy and distracting she was less then helpful to a point I was shocked while she continued with what sounded like 3 other women and a conversation the was so much more important she could find either of my 2 stays in less then 10 days and at the point she told me they had the blanket nut not my seeking glasses blurted out she was going to have to transfer me to front desk and then before doing it finished her conversation with Co works and found there talk way more important to her then I ever could be laughed so hard and loud I bad to remove the phone from my ear. Get to the receptionist was just as unpleasant that she insinuated I was one broke or expect something for free. How rude, I haven't call back because they don't care.

First of all our reservation was not in the sysyem when we arrived. When we finally got our room there was a drops of blood in the elevator and we notnotified the security. We notified security and they cleaned it up .After that we got in our room it didnt smell clean it was dirty ,our lights didnt work ,the wall paper was peeling off and there was blood on the curtains. Our other party who also paid thru orbit theyre room looked like a murder svene. There room had a big pool of dry blood dripping down there window. We notified management and they sent security up to see and the security guy was shocked and disgusted. This was a health hazard there were children with us. So we had to insost and Request to be moved. Management moved us to rooms that were cleaner but still the roo.s werent very nice and this hotel was supposedly remodeled 3 yrs ago but it looked so outdated and ugly. And the pool smelled like pee there was lettace and hair we saw in it and it didnt look clean. The food court was far away from tje rooms you had to walk thru tje smoking area of tje casino to get to the food court And woth young children its not good. This was the worst place ever to stay. I would not recommend this place especially for the price we payed. We didnt get our moneys worth and enjoy our selves at ver very disappointed. The only thing management gave us was a $50 food credit for our troubles .But they could of put us in a suite which would of been better. This hotel sucks!!!!

Not family friendly
We stayed at The Orleans for 7 days since the event we came to was being held at the hotel. The hotel “tries” to make this look like a family friendly hotel but this is anything but. First off, the customer service was atrocious! From the minute we checked in to the minute we checked out, the staff was nothing but rude and acted as if they hated their jobs. Second, the room was filthy! The carpets were so gross and dirty that within seconds of walking barefoot or with socks on, the bottoms of our feet were black. The mattress protector was shredded to pieces, super thin with major holes all over it. The overall room had a horrible smell of rotten eggs and a bad cover up job of old cigarettes. The icing on the cake was the mold growing in the bathroom. It was coming down the walls and toilet. We were told at check in that the hotel has a major leak the day prior. The rooms that had been damaged had fans blowing in the halls, the wallpaper ripped down to the sheet rock and it was apparent there was major damage to these rooms, yet they still booked our friends in them. The people on both sides and across from us were having major smoke outs and the halls reeked of pot. Lastly, if you don’t have housekeeping come every two days, security comes and bangs on your door, will barge in and insist on looking in the bathroom. I found it entirely invasive to have 3 or 4 people show up at our door and want to come into our room as I stand there in my pajamas.

Take the good with the bad
I chose this hotel because I heard so many great things about the pools. Unfortunately, the day I went to the pool, the gate troll was very rude about informing me about NO FOOD OR BEVERAGE. He wasn't even nice about it. I went up to my room and called the Pool Manager, he said, "yeah, sometimes the guy at the gate isn't very can bring a personal water bottle, but no other food or drink." This kind of ruined my interest in going to the pool that day. Front desk staff were friendly to me but rude to my daughter. Maintenance were lazy and when asked to fix our TV, the guy literally tried for 30 seconds and then told my daughter (23) that his shift was about over and then he left. The replacement he sent up knew nothing and had to call another tech to help. By the time they figured it out, it was after midnight and my boyfriend sent them packing as we only had 5 hours left to sleep before we had to be up for our flight. On the good side, Housekeeping were ON POINT and Room Service was too. I will stay here again, I was just not expecting so much attitude from the staff. P.S. Almost forgot, the air conditioning unit sounded like it was on its last leg but still functional.

Nice Hotel Off-Strip in Vegas
Came with the family for two nights during the week. Reasonably priced and very nice, both in the public areas and the rooms. Check in desk had long line but it went very quickly, as there were many clerks working. Waited less than five minutes. Everyone was helpful and friendly. The only ding I would give the hotel is that they have pocket doors for the bathrooms in the rooms with locks that either don't work, or work too well, although the doors are very space efficient. When we checked into our two rooms, the kids all deposited their keys on the dresser of their room and my son went in to use the bathroom and locked the door. The two other kids came into our room, next door. My son called us from his cell phone after he discovered that he was locked in the bathroom. We couldn't get into the room to free him because all the keys were inside the room with him. The hotel was very responsive and had someone there from maintenance within 10-15 minutes to let him out and replace the bathroom door latch, although he told us the new ones don't lock because they can't find any that lock and don't lock people in. Had the breakfast buffet the next day and it was very good, and well worth the price. We couldn't have tried everything they had on the buffet if we had three days. Check-out and parking was easy too. Can't comment on the casino because I just walked through, but it looked nice.
