We had a nice time in Giorgionne.
The hotel is not luxurious. It is a little tired. The paintwork on the floors that I saw needed attention. The service in the bar was slow. The breakfast was adequate. We stayed in a suite on the first floor which had a lovely terrace attached. However, the staff stored dirty laundry outside our room until I complained. I told them that it wasn't what I wanted to see when I left and entered my room.

Nice hotel near the Rialto Bridge
Easy check in process, the room wasn't the one in the pictures on my booking but was nice. The breakfast was basic but served a purpose although it could do with being constantly topped up, the hotel was full but there was always a wait for plates and meats and cheeses. The hotel very kindly left a bottle of prosecco in my room for my birthday which was a lovely treat. We had asked for glasses from the bar the day before for the room and were told we had to have plastic tumblers which was a shame given we were toasting my birthday. Great location. Would stay again

Its old and rooms are not that luxurious as seems
This is one of expensive hotels I booked assuming I would really have nice experience with my family. However it turned out to be not even average. Good things: 1) Lobby is amazing 2) Service is good enough (not so great) Not so happy with: 1) It’s not near canal (there are many with canal view so why to pay so much money?) 2) Pictures on website says something else and in reality its rooms are very old and average, I posted pictures for your comparison. This is mostly disappointment for me. 3) They charge extra for Swimming pool 4) Breakfast was very average 5) If you speak to reception over the phone from room, they seem very arrogant. Didn't feel same in other hotels where I stayed. 6) Not worth of money, some other hotel can be booked within same or less price

The pictures must be quite old, as the room and outside were more tired than the photos, the room itself was comfortable and had a full bathroom. The hotel will not allow you to eat or drink in the room, unless it is purchased from the hotel. Prices at the bar were very expensive - €5 for a bottle of beer. We chose the hotel due to the provision of a Spa - be warned, the spa is NOT heated, you can only go in the spa if you have the robe and towel (at €10 per person), no refund even though there was nowhere saying that the spa was cold and not heated - when asked for a refund as it was too cold to use, we were refused. On the plus side, the reception staff were very helpful and friendly. I would not however say this matched a UK definition of a 4* hotel.

Very good stylish hotel - just needs dusting
We had a four day stay for our honeymoon at the Hotel Giorgione and overall very much enjoyed this hotel. The first impression is excellent with a beautiful reception and very friendly and professional staff whom speak excellent English. This quality of service was experienced throughout our stay and is amongst the highest standards I've known (and I have stayed at a huge number of hotels across the world). The room was a 'superior double' and was large enough to be comfortable together with a good size ensuite bathroom with 'his and hers' basins. The style is an ornate grandiose and looked very much in keeping with what you'd expect for Venice. Only comment I would have is that the curtains were really thick with dust - they really need to dust such drapes and perhaps some of the fittings/decor is starting to show its age. The breakfast is very good and there is a lovely courtyard around the pool in which you can enjoy it, although after 9am the lack of crockery did tend to make getting hold of a plate/cup a bit competitive. Access into Venice is very easy being only a short walk and, if you are using water taxi, then access to the airport is easy. Otherwise it is about a 10 minute walk with cases to the public water buses. Overall we would very much recommend this hotel and being of a high quality at good value with very good service. The negative comments above were outweighed by the other very good positives. We would certainly stay here again.
