Excellent service, pleasant guesthouse in Dublin 4
We stayed here to be close to our son in the Dublin 4/UCD area. he description and reviews matched what we were looking for. The best thing was the staff who were super friendly and brought coffee and tea on request, as well as always offering when you arrived back. Excellent service mentality and friendly approach. Toiletries were very nice quality and all the right things. Curtains weren't blackout The place was immaculately clean and well-tended, even though the carpets were bare and well worn in patches. A rug in our room would have easily covered up a bare patch. TV was a bit small but worked !! Walls were a bit thin on our floor. Bed was very comfortable - with blankets and not duvet. I asked for two beds but we got two joined together. Although we were there 4 nights we were in a much smaller room than that next door deluxe room which had different occupants each night. I found the room a little cool and needed the extra blanket. My partner found it quite warm. couldn't find a way to control temperature in room via thermostat. Radiators and windows only. There is some noise from the Dart, but not too bad, I rather liked it. Large garden but I didn't go in. Wifi worked well. You are out of town here but that is not an issue for us as we knew this when we booked. You can get to Sandymount which is a nice little place in itself as is Ballsbridge. We didn't try breakfast but dining room looked very pleasant. There is a lovely drawing room/library to take tea in.

Very good 8.0
Room was a little tired. Despite staff being more than willing to provide complimentary coffee in the lounge it was disappointing and inconvenient not to have kettle etc in room.

Exceptional 10.0
Very attentive hospitality.
Visitors here need to check that the venue is in business if booking ahead as there is some uncertainty about management.

A short trip to Dublin
Clean hotel. Great value for money. Good for 1 or 2 days. Rooms are bit small.

Fantastic hospitality
Lovely townhouse retaining many original features such as beautiful plaster cornices. Great old fashioned hospitality, greeted with tea and biscuits and owner took the time to explain local area and recommend restaurants and walks. Walking distance to beach and to city centre, also good bus and dart connections. Staff very friendly and helpful, breakfast excellent. Lovely garden area with seating for fair weather. Beds comfortable and robes and slippers provided. Would recommend.
