Loved everything about this hotel from the staff to the location. ONLY negative would be the tiny breakfast room.

Stayed in Portland for the last 3 days of a week long trip, great location room was nice just a few things that needed attention. Amazingly comfortable bedding. Art work throughout hotel was interesting and cool. Parking was outdoor across the street outside ( Don’t leave valuables). Staff was very helpful and accommodating. Would definitely stay at the Mark Spencer again!

Old hotel w/ make over. Nice large room, 0 services, no coffee or tea in room, lobby a bit drab , needs to spend more on upgrading lobby, add bar, etc.

Comfort & Convenience in a Great Location

Beautifully updated historic property in downtown Portland. Conveniently located adjacent to the Pearl District with plenty of options for dining and shopping. The team at Mark Spencer Hotel was courteous and professional and the room was spacious and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again!

    Great location

The hotel is centrally located in downtown, so easy walk to restaurants, bars, museums, etc. We had a room with two queen beds; the picture of the room on hotels.com makes it seem like it is a lot bigger, but since the beds were clean and comfortable, and we didn't spend a lot of time in the room, this wasn't an issue. The room included a small kitchen, which was great for storing and heating leftovers. The only real downside to the hotel is the terrible WIFI network. Since it was basically useless, we wound up using a lot of wireless data.

    Nice luminous room, great location.

We loved our room on the sixth floor. Although it was only a 'standard' queen, it felt roomy with lots of daylight and a little corridor between the bedroom and the bathroom, all with windows. The only minus was the absence of a coffee maker, and no room service to get it because of Covid. We had to get coffee from the front desk, which was nice to offer, but still not as enjoyable as from the comfort of your own room. Indoor parking was a great option. The front desk staff was genuinely super nice and helpful. Location matters a lot to us, and it was a hit, close to the Pearl District for dinner and drinks, and to downtown to get to the museum.

Find a better one for this amount of money

Hotel staff weren't so communicating with guests. No one really care about you are doing well during the stay. "Covid regulations" wasthe answer for anything you ask for. While room service (food) was working and you could order food to your room, when we asked someone to come and take the garbage, they sent us to the garbage room to throw it by ourselves. I was in shock.
