Nice hotel but lacks attention to details
There is a lack of attention to detail at the hotel. My room faced a white wall, it was overheated, had creaky floors and old fixtures, cob webs on the ceiling and no complimentary bottled water. I did also request a quiet room but was situated right above a corridor. On the plus side the bedding and towels were comfortable and were the newest thing in the actual room. The service was attentive, the views from the hotel were terrific and public spaces seem to be warm and comfortable. Opt for a refurbished room – the difference in comfort levels is tremendous!

A comfortable sleep, however our booked rooms were in a non linked building to the rear of the hotel, meaning walking through a car park surrounded by ‘down at heel’ buildings. Staff were courteous, with the only negative being the first day partaking of the breakfast buffet, where the staff seemed confused and in disarray, made all the more confusing due to staff not wearing consistent outfits, so you were unsure who were staff and who were guests. We were left having to clear our own tables. Not dreadful, but not what I expect from this level of hotel. The bedrooms themselves were clean, warm, quiet and reasonably well appointed for the price. I’m not sure I would choose to stay here again, giving the range of choices available in Bournemouth.

More notice of renovations needed.
Went on a family break for 2 nights with my disabled in laws, Although we booked a disabled parking we were not informed that there was no internal lift to my in laws 2nd floor suite and there was a difficult external route to the lower ground floor with no light and no level access. I understand the need for the modernisation works that the other lift was closed but for a hotel of this quality & cost I would have thought an alternative entrance would have been provided and would future proof the hotel.The garden cottage room for my wife and I was very tired smelt / felt damp and there were no instructions for heating operation or indeed anything else such as telephone or room service. Staff at reception were very helpful & polite despite the issues and we did enjoy our stay however, had the inlays visited alone as usual, the would not have been able to manage.
