Stay here. It’s great.
This is one of the most charming hotels I’ve stayed at in the US. Adrian the front desk worker upon checkin was absolutely fantastic and the best hotel employee I’ve ever had the chance of interacting with. The room was spacious, bed comfortable, kind staff, quiet neighborhood and the entire design/decorations of the hotel was great. It’s not new and fancy, it’s better than that.

Clean, comfortable historic hotel in downtown
King size bed was clean and comfortable after a long car trip. Did have to ask for ice...on the end of 1st floor to the right. Nice historic building with some wear, but has been maintained. Paid parking down the street or free on the street parking if you enjoy parallel parking. Free water, hot tea, and coffee in the lobby. The bathroom was a nice size, but the toilet was a tight fit, if that matters. Within walking distance of many places of downtown Chicago.

It's a really nice hotel in a cool part of town, with bars and restaurants nearby. Very friendly staff, clean rooms and very quiet. Good value for money.
