    “Third party argument” is condescending
    Everything was typical Hyatt except they overlooked housekeeping service on the first night and the front desk attendants were regularly inattentive. Since we were there only three nights we had clean sheets for only two nights. That’s frustrating when you pay high dollar to get away. That was typically not Hyatt. When I went to complain, the front desk clerk saw me standing there, said nothing, the phone rang and she answered the phone instead. She could have at least said, “I will be with you in a moment, sir!” This happened twice where I was ignored in favor of the phone ringing. Not typically Hyatt either. When I finally talked to a manager about the missed housekeeping service, I was presented with the standard corporate deflections, in a condescending tone, as if I have no idea how the service industry works. The standard line was, “You paid Hotels.com, not us, so we can’t make it right.” I think that is the highest of condescension when they expect me to believe I didn’t really pay the hotel. That’s laughable. There is a net zero exchange of funds between the third party and the hotel for the room cost, and to expect is to believe that our money was somehow tied up because of hotels.com just makes me angry. I don’t care that the third party helped secure the room. The hotel still privides the service. When we used to book through travel agents, we never encounterd the “third party” argument to avoid fixing bad service by the hotel. They gave me $50 but whatever.

    When i 1st went to check into property the woman at desk had my reservation & said she needed my card for incidental hold, which was fine. The card was approved but then she said that it didnt show up on her computer & she needed card again. I asked her if i would be charged twice & she assured me NO. About hr later i noticed my account was missing $ & that my transaction history said hyatt had charged me $15 & $123.38 (mind u i had paid for my room b4 i got there through 3rd party) so i also had the charge from them for my room. That being said i went to front desk & asked about charges on my card, which they told me, that they didnt have $123.38 charge on my room. (I showed them i had been charged it,) & the mng told woman at front desk to tell me if it was still there next day the other mng would fix it! Now my money was gone all night with no explaination as to why & it started arguement with me & bf cuz women in front said they didnt charge my card. So bf thought i spent it until i showed him invoice. The next morning from 8am-11am when i checked out i spent on phone with my card trying to see why charge was there. hyatt charged my card & hyatt kept tellin me they didnt have a charge on my account for the 123.38 only the $15 hold. spent my entire day & night being told hyatt didnt take my money out of account, i wasnt able to pay for another room anywhere else cuz they took the $ out my account i paid 300 for a room i didnt get to enjoy & $ still gone& sleep n car2night

    At check in, I asked if the outdoor pool would be open as our stay was planned for the day before labor day until the day after. I was advised it was. Got to the room, it smelled musty, and the air conditioner would not keep the temp even at 70. It stayed around 73 until about 2am, and finally would hold at 70. Got dressed to go down to the pool, only to find it had been drained. I went to the front desk, where the same lady that checked me in said, "oops, I tried to catch you before you got on the elevator, the pool is actually closed." Not sure why she couldn't have called the room, as we told her at check in, the outdoor pool was a must with our trip. We canceled the second night, if I would have known how the room air conditioner was going to be, I would have canceled both nights. I have stayed at this location before and was very pleased. It put a damper on the whole Labor Day weekend, so we just cut it short.

    Very Unhappy Review...!!!
    While the hotel itself was very nice the majority of the staff are clueless about hospitality and guest services. I even had to remind the general mgr that a basic apology was warranted for the lack of respect from a particular staff member. A discount or even a free night was not extended to me for the major inconveniences I had experienced. That should have been an automatic, common courtesy offering to me due to the fact that I stayed in the hotel for seven nights !! BASIC HOSPITALITY !! It was if people walked off the street to do a job they had no knowledge of executing. One employee even had the audacity to smart mouth me because I called him on the short comings of the hotel.... customer service is NOT the forte of this hotel.....buyer beware...!!

    We were unfortunately disappointed
    The rooms looked nice and the staff for the most part was friendly and helpful but our room was extremely warm and dry, We tried to turn down the heat but the thermostat was not working. We literally only slept about 1 to 2 hours the whole night. Our shower drains also stopped up. We were at least looking forward to breakfast but we were disappointed once again. The waffles were pre-made and were cold and somewhat stale. The only meat available was the sausage that was mixed in with the burrito bowl egg mixture so, if you wanted egg without sausage or the other stuff you were out of luck. If you wanted sauce or some other type of meat without egg and the other mixture you were out of luck. What made it a little more unfortunate is that it was all at best luke warm. So, after a disappointing night's sleep it was compounded with a disappointing breakfast.
