My stay at Duke of Cornwall, Plymouth

Traveled as a family of 3 and a dog. The Hotel is very conveniently located and is full of historic artifacts. The likes of Charlie Chaplin and Laurel and Hardy stayed here and this hotel is more than a century old. The rooms are large and spacious. The staff is fabulously friendly. Always supported us when we needed it. The car park is at the rear and conveniently led to a back door approach to the 1st floor where we stayed. It was good for the dog for his needs. The decors and furniture were however old and need to be refurbished. I appreciate what tough times this hotel must be facing in these tough times. Will visit again.

    Lovely staff and friendly welcome!

A grand old building in a great location for the Hoe and the City Centre. Although the hotel is a little bit dated and could do with a refurb, the staff more than compensate for the appearance. Cheerful and friendly from start to finish and Covid precautions are well managed and don’t leave you feeling like you are in a hospital! The restaurant is running a limited menu to assist with Covid restrictions but this means everything is prepared really well and super tasty. Car park is small but easily accessed and free for hotel guests. I would definitely stay here again.

    Needs maintenance

I stayed overnight whilst working away from home. The hotel was not awful, but definitely in need of some repair, maintenance and money invested in it. The plumbing in the bathroom was pretty poor. In all, I wouldn't recommend this hotel. There are a lot of other places out there in the same price bracket that are in a much better condition.
