Nice place, shame about the breakfast!
We stayed at the Sonora Inn en route from San Francisco to Yosemite National Park. It is an historic inn as such the rooms are not particularly spacious. However, they are clean and comfortable. The inn is located on the main street which is pretty. There are a few bars and restaurants just a few minutes walk away (Diamondback Grill was brilliant - half price wine on Tuesdays!!). There was a rooftop pool which was refreshingly cool. However, the breakfast was something else. A doughnut box had a half eaten doughnut left inside (mmmm, appetizing!), and the Danish pastries were shrink wrapped and as heavy as a brick. Overall, this is a perfect stop off place - we slept well, and it was quiet, but maybe skip breakfast, and find somewhere in town to set you up for the next part of your trip.

Love the historical feel, with an updated look.
The feeling when you walk in is like walking back in time, with and old first generation home phone on the wall. Room were not small, but just the right size. The beds were very comfortable. The historic elevator was amazing!! Only two people could fit, with luggage, but it had the feel of the 1800's!

Very dated, paper thin walls, mold in the bathroom.

Great hotel for an overnight in Sonora
Hotel was nice with a historic feel to it. Easy parking. Great location. A small minus was the minimal breakfast options. Another minus, but probably not the hotel's fault, is that the king room that we reserved on hotel.com was not available. This was the second time that happened on this trip...
