Exceptional 10.0
Nice staff, nice looking though damp room
The hotel is a relatively good 3 star hotel for Amsterdam. The blonde receptionist on duty was extremely helpful. The downside was that the room was damp and musty. The rooms were somewhat small, but that is typical in the city, and on the plus side, the room did have a bathtub.

Lovely stay
Lovely hotel in a great location. Friendly welcoming staff and spotlessly clean. I would only add another lamp in the room I had. Other than that, it was perfect.

An absolute delight
Honestly I wouldn’t let the negative reviews put you off. This hotel was an absolute delight despite being a bit concerned after reading the not so great reviews after booking. The room had such a gorgeous interior and was super cosy, especially the bed! Thought it was a perfect size for both of us and we really enjoyed staying here. Perfect location if you don’t mind the walk to the more central areas but Leidseplein is just around the corner and there’s plenty to do here. Only problem we had was I’d ordered a bottle of Prosecco for our arrival but didn’t receive this. Would definitely stay again!

Almost perfect hotel
Good for local transport to all areas. Helpful staff. Lovely bar area. Breakfast was nice but a little over priced. Room was alot better than expected. All in all a perfect hotel.

Disappointing
We stayed here as a couple for two days in room 230 which is the lower ground floor. Simply put would I recommend this hotel? No. The location into the centre of Amsterdam ie central station/old town/red light district etc -the centre, claimed on the website to be 15min walk. -it was more like 25 and that was for a fit and healthy couple. The room was dark, and although plenty of lamps dotted around the room they did not sufficiently light up the room and required more in the celiling. Bedsheets were dirty -I had a nose bleed during the night and the chambermaids did not change them. Cleanliness was poor- eg lots of pistachios underneath our bed not from our stay! Service- poor. When we checked in we were not given usual hotel service of the local ammentities. We asked about a bath in our room and receptionist told us there were not any available until the next day- turns out our room did have one after all. Shower was poor- the shower head did not fit into the holder so had to be held up with one hand during the showers. Noisy rooms - nearby to a train, or tram as noisy through the night. As well as noisy guests able to heard through the night. Smoking area below our room most likely contributed to the strong smoke odour in our room.
