Lotus Honolulu at Diamond Head
Very good hotel.
Very good hotel, probably the best we stayed at at in our trip round the Hawaiian Islands. Great views exceptionally helpful staff with free beach equipment. Located at a quite end of town.

Amazing honeymoon
Amazing hotel, nice quiet area within 5 min walking through a lovely park by the beach to Waikiki. Lovely views from our balcony and wonderful hospitality. Prosecco was waiting for us from the manager congratulating on our honeymoon.

Great location and stunning views, can be noisy.
The Lotus Hotel is in an excellent location with stunning views over Diamond Head. The rooms are light and spacious and of a high quality, the lobby and communal areas however are looking tired. If considering staying at the hotel It is worth noting that on Saturday evenings and also special occasions such as Halloween the restaurant area is turned into a nightclub with the result that the hotel is noisy and busy, we were not informed of this prior to our stay or upon check in and despite being in a room 5 floors above the restaurant it was very noisy which ruined our stay on the Saturday evening and also Halloween evening. Finally if you are expecting a traditional Hawaiian welcome it was not standard practice to give out leis to guests which was disappointing.

Excellent Hotel Outside Crazy Waikiki
We are very glad we skipped the big, crowded center of Waikiki and stayed at the peaceful boutique Lotus. It’s a great location- on the beach (short walk in between buildings to the ocean), next to a beautiful park, ocean and Diamond Head views, but away from the crazy crowds of Waikiki. It’s a nice 20 min walk when we wanted to get to Waikiki, but we preferred staying close to the hotel in the peace. The hotel is small - only 5 rooms per floor - and the staff friendly. They have amenities like wine at happy hour, coffee and tea in the morning, beach gear, bikes, water bottles, etc. we took advantage of the 7:30am yoga and loved it! One day the elevator was not working for a few hours so we had to walk up 11 flights to our room. Not a big deal for us, but there is only one elevator so if something goes wrong you’ll need to adjust. This may be the very first time this ever happened but I wanted to mention it because it may be important to someone. It did not affect my rating in anyway. The lobby is very nicely decorated. The rooms are attractive and serene and we loved our view. There is a resort fee of $25 per day (not a choice) so be prepared for that. It includes parking and all the beach amenities I mentioned so I think it’s worth it, and the hotel is reasonably priced. I know I’ll recommend this hotel to friends and family which is the best indication of how I feel about it.

Nice room
The room was a great size, the bed and pillows were awesome (if you like firm beds and nice soft pillows). Ocean view was not a big wide view but a narrow viewing space but it was pretty. I am very afraid of his and couldn't go out into the balcony to enjoy the view but my husband liked it. Diamond Head was gorgeous!
