Good location, but that’s about all
Booked 3 rooms for myself and my 2 children. My room was ok but not too clean. My daughter’s room was dirty and she had to clean brown stains from the toilet before using it. She also did not have air conditioning which made it uncomfortable. My son’s room was little more than a box room.
The bar was not staffed properly and I had to go searching for staff on 2 occasions to get a drink. I also could not get anything to eat at 4pm in the afternoon.
I ordered a taxi to take us to a restaurant. It arrived but no-one came and told us so again I had to go searching for staff.
Car parking was poor and staff unhelpful, especially as my wife is disabled with a Blue Badge parking permit.

Clean, comfortable hotel in city centre
Lovely hotel in the centre of Winchester. The room was clean, tidy and very comfortable. The decor could probably do with a little updating but in general was fine. Just a small detail.
Lovely friendly service from reception staff. Really helpful advice and easy parking right outside the hotel at a reasonable cost.
The hotel is right next to the cathedral so please be aware that you may be woken by bells ringing. I actually enjoyed this though.
I didn’t eat at the hotel so can’t comment on the food. I would definitely stay again when visiting this lovely city.

A bit tired, but very convenient and good service
The location is second to none; right in the city centre. My room had a view of the cathedral which was very pleasant! It was quiet and comfortable. The hotel itself is a bit tired - some new carpets and general sprucing up would make a big difference. Parking is very convenient too, if tricky to manoeuvre. Overall, would stay again.
