The staff were really friendly & helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and they had good local knowledge, which helped us to use the bus service into Chester rather than having to use our car. Our bed was made daily & teas, coffees etc replenished readily. I can't comment on the breakfast/restaurant, as we were visiting friends, except for the first evening when we chose to eat in the bar when it was busy & things were a bit more rushed than we preferred, which probably wouldn't have been the case if we'd waited another half an hour for waiting staff in the restaurant at 6.30.

Staff were great, all so friendly and helpful. Hotel clean with a good breakfast. Great added bonus of a pool with jacuzzi saunas and steam room. Marked a star down as the bed was rather hard but this is personal preference. Would happily return for another stay. Great base for visiting the zoo

Convenient and comfortable hotel for a night or two. Easy to park, good shower, comfortable beds and dog friendly, which ticks all of our boxes. We used the fitness center, which was a bit cramped (and the sauna was barely warm), but mostly we were out of the hotel and being tourists.

The hotel staff are very welcoming and helpful. The rooms are clean and well serviced by the staff. The hotel as a whole would benefit from some refurbishment as some areas are a little old and dated. The tea and coffee making facilities are a very welcome after a long journey.

This is a lovely hotel with free parking and breakfast included. The rooms are very small but we knew that. Bathroom is very small. The lobby is nice. Breakfast is good but the coffee machine did not work and they run out of food so go early. Swimming pool is lovely! Dinner was excellent. But the rooms and corridors need refurbishing, paint is peeling everywhere. But overall a nice experience and would stay again.

Solo Business Traveler that looks for; Parking, Restaurant, Comfy Bed, good WifI and a Power Shower.... Room 519 was a large spacious twin room with two single beds. Room was very clean, tidy had a nice view from the window and the A/C was a welcome find. WiFi had a good solid signal and plenty of space to work, bed was comfy, the shower cubicle was large, the shower got you clean but wasn't the most enthusiastic. The HolidayInn itself.....Car Park; large and plenty of space, Restaurant; great food - stayed two nights and happily used twice for dinner and twice for breakfast (only issue appears to be stock levels as lots of items not available at dinner), Staff; save the best till last.....FANTASTIC just wish I'd taken all their names. But all staff encountered clearly very busy, but all without question brilliant. Bar area large, good choice on tap, TV (football) and a pool table. Some of the communal areas could do with a bit more TLC but overall very happy and would happily stay again.
