A nice stay overall.
We have stayed here a few times now and previously booked in as a timeshare exchange but this time we paid as you would a hotel. The room we had was ok and they put us in the room early so we couldn't really complain but there was a long term odd smell in there each time we opened the door. We do enjoy staying there but this time the room seemed to be a little bit jaded. They still have the lovely extras like the jambalaya meet up and the cheese and wine evening as well as the crawfish boil. The staff are great especially the valet people.

Hotel was nice, employees were friendly, however there were a few issues with room keys as well as two of three elevators were broken.

For a lovely stay in NOLA
This was a beautiful resort and had very friendly and helpful staff. The room was the perfect size and arrangement for both comfort and aesthetics. It was local to so many great restaurants and shops. The trolley picked up directly in front of the hotel and would run you straight down to the French Quarter. It was only $3.00 for a 24 hour pass on the trolley as well. Keep in mind that there is only valet parking available at the hotel and if check in time is crowded you will need to double park on the road in front of building. The staff moves it quickly and takes excellent care of the car and brings your luggage to your room. This was a wonderful stay for my visit to New Orleans. I would happily stay there again in the future. Chamelle at the check in desk and Hannah in guest services were true rock stars for me!

Garden District feel but close to the City
Room was small, but spacious. King bed in bedroom, pull out bed in living room. Small kitchen, but everything you need. Resort had a small pool and jacuzzi, (which a lot of hotels do not have in New Orleans). 20 minutes to walk downtown or catch the street car right out the front door. 20 minute walk to Magazine St. Roof top had a great view of the city. The only downside is the walls are thin, (but not awful) that seems to be the norm in New Orleans. The staff at the front desk were very helpful and doormen were very polite.

If you want to buy into a vacation club stay here!
I love the property and the location in the Garden District is awesome, BUT... this hotel is apart of the Wyndham Group of resorts and they bother the crap out of you trying to get you to join their vacation club. I was there for a fun family vacation not to spend my time dodging their phone calls to my room before 9:00 am to sit through one of their sales pitches. They called to see if we needed anything and I said towels, I received them 10 hours later when i went to the lobby to get them myself. My phone rang every morning by 9:00 am to try to get me to come down for a welcome packet and coupons for excursions, but those came with the price of sitting through a sales pitch. I told them on day 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 I was not interested but they would not leave us alone!
