Disaster Lodge
Awful hotel. Not clean. Smells of smoke. Loud people in room next to mine threatening each other with guns. Dogs barking and running loose in hallway. People were eventually moved away from me and not asked to leave after two calls to the front desk. Horrible experience!

I only needed a place to close my eyes for a few hours and then hit the road. The room was nice and clean, and the bed was far more comfortable than a lot of higher priced places I have stayed. Bathroom was well cleaned, and things looked new and fresh. There's no breakfast (which I knew ahead of time and planned on hitting a drive-thru before getting on the road) so look before you book if you are wanting this perk.

Acceptable budget hotel
We needed an economical overnight place for a weekend trip to the Cumberland area. This hotel gets some dreadful reviews that I think are unjustified. Pros: Inexpensive ($50), convenient location, neighborhood seemed safe, parking lot and hotel were quiet after hours. Room was very basic, but clean. Plumbing, HVAC, and lights all worked fine. Did not even turn on the TV so don't know about that. Fridge and microwave in room both worked. Desk staff were polite and efficient; didn't have any problems so I have no idea how they deal with them. Cons: the public areas of the hotel are a bit sketchy. Elevator and hallway smelled of smoke and cleaning chemicals; hallway carpet was dirty and lumpy. But this was not true in the room, so of little consequence. Room had no coffeemaker. Don't knows: We did not patronize the breakfast so I can't comment on that. Overall: it was an acceptable place to spend a night, and given the low price was a good value.

Terrible condition....
Awful...even with consideration of the low price point. Smelled of smoke, bugs on windowsill and in bathroom. Never Again!!

Not the best budget motel
We felt safe enough and the wifi was good. The walls need cleaned and painted. It was dingy enough that I didn't bother with a shower. My sister's room had several stink bugs. The bed sheets were thin and there was no mattress pad. I will look for a better budget motel next time I'm in the area.
