Not worth the room rate
Don’t be deceived by the online photos. These cabins were very outdated and not clean at all. When we checked in to the room, the back screen door was unlocked. Do not recall reading the fine print that indicated no tv in the room and literally no cell service. Unless you are a true nature lover, this place isn’t for you. Way over priced for what you get.

In the Park!
We stayed for one night. It was our anniversary. The hotel is older, but it’s in the Pfeffer State Park, so you can hike in the beautiful redwoods without a problem. Bed was fine, room large, but restaurant not the best. Other options are nearby.

What a dump
Wow this place is in pretty bad shape. Great location and that’s about it. The room was scary; DIRTY, cobwebs, dust everywhere, floors super dirty, scuff marks all over the walls. Overall, just a gross room. I can’t believe they charged us 400 a night to stay in this dump. And, the young girl at the front desk was rude and refused to help us switch rooms. She couldn’t have been more poorly trained. Awful experience!

Not to the standard we expected
While it was lovely to go on beautiful hikes straight from the lodge, the maintenance and service of the place were poor. We came at 16:00 which is the check in time, and still had to wait for an hour until our cabin was ready. We took a cabin with a kitchen since there is no vegan options in the area. The heat didn't work and also the kitchen oven. There is no way to contact the reception other than walking/driving there from the cabins' area (which is up on a hill). We had to spend half a day going back and forth to ask that someone will come to fix the oven and heat, or explain to us how to operate them. When he finally came, he explained how to turn on the oven while admitting it's not trivial to operate it (we would have expected some written instructions in the cabin in that case). He couldn't fix the heating so we had to wait another few hours for someone else to fix it. All and all we were disappointed and won't be back in the future.
