This place was way more hectic and overwhelming than i imagined it would be. The signage is really poor, to find anything in the hotel and casino. Getting to the rooms from the carpark is a challenge and no clear signage and is a long slog with bags. The wifi in the room is very slow. Only 1 mbps as the free option. Otherwose have to pay to upgrade. A comfortable bed. I wish casinos would ban smoking also. Or have smoke free games/tables area

Pulled into Sams Town, with reservations, after a 2 day road trip towing a race car from St Louis to a road race in northern Nevada. The transmission on the tow vehicles was failing, so I unhooked the trailer to take it to a shop for repairs. Was told by security as I was unhitching it, that it was not allowed. My reason for staying there was twofold, they used to be the hotel sponsor of the race and it was easy parking with a trailer as the surface lot is where race car trailers were parked during past races. There were no signs telling me it was forbidden and I cannot imagine what would have happened had I unhooked and taken the truck to the dealer as was my plan. I scrambled to find another room I could limp the truck and trailer to. The Marriot is where I ended up and the vet parking directed me to a secure place to unhook the trailer and take the truck for repairs. This is an issue few will encounter, but indicates the inflexibility of the staff. I’ve stayed before many time for this race. It’s a so so casino and hotel with pretty threadbare rooms and few good dining choices. Won’t go there again.

Nearly everything was closed. Sams town should'nt charge a resort fee when the only real amenity is the pool. The resort fee is for phone, internet, in-room coffee, and some other dumb thing that people probably dont use. The buffet is closed, the salon is closed, the light show for the park was closed, panda express and mcdonalds close at like 10, and the front desk had 1 person!!! I feel like i was inconvenienced. I feel like they owe me for advertising a hotel that didnt have the features that i PAID for! I could've stayed on strip for cheaper. Sams town doesnt live up to its potential. Theres nothing resort-like about this hotel... so why not just charge a regular price? Also, its not cool to punish the guests by charging more to compensate for what you lack. You should be ashamed. Covid hit everyone hard but that doesnt mean the guests should pay more.. show some incentive like stay 3 nights get 1 free.. be happy that you still have loyal guests willing to stay there.
