Ok
This was fine but the pool was not much bigger than a puddle!! I didn't bother to go in it was so small. The rocking chairs on the balcony were a nice touch.

Bland, dull & ordinary
Hotel is basic motel. Nothing glamorous and in need of brightening up with bland brown/tan hallways. Creates dull atmosphere which continues throughout property. Ask for upstairs room or you will smell pool chemicals throughout ground. In room fine clean & tidy. Balcony with two rocking chairs. View of main road & vehicles passing. Rear river view is but a stream & trees nothing spectacular. Local amenities within walking would recommend Saltys for food & drink. The hotel was alright for stopping off travelling through blue ridge parkway. Smokies are spectacular. As such the pass through this hotel was fine but wouldn't use as long term base.

When I book hotels I really depend on the reviews before I book them. So here's a review for those of you who are wondering if you should stay here or not.Stayed here for two nights while we vacation in the mountains and it was very nice. The hotel was clean. We booked a creek view room and it was exactly like how it looked in the pictures. It was very nice and quiet for the most part. There was free breakfast and it wasn't too bad. Typical breakfast menu such as sausage patties, eggs, cereal, waffles, bananas, apples, yogurt, muffins, bagels, and grits. If you feel like it's not what you want then there are a couple of breakfast spots right across the street or down the road. The only cons I would see with the hotel is the small indoor pool and spa tub. Good thing there wasn't much people there using the pool so most of the time we had it to ourselves. Also there are NO elevators. So pack light in case you have to stay on the second floor. There is just 2 levels in the building. Walmart was about 15 mins. away and so was McDonalds and Ingles incase you need to go eat somewhere or get groceries. Cherokee was about 20-25 minutes away. I forgot to mention that Maggie Valley is a very peaceful little town! So you'll enjoy all the nature view that it has to offer.
