New carpet and furniture in my room. Excellent breakfast. Only downside was the absence of a decent draft beer at the bar. Tetleys, please try harder...

Room clean and functional. Beds comfy! Breakfast excellent. Bar not staffed well and had to wait ages to get some soft drink and a wine to have with our dinner. No flexibility in the time of evening meal.

The hotel is a bit ‘tired’ which is reflected in the excellent price. The room was large, clean and well supplied with furniture. The hotel has a 24 hour reception, and the receptionist who checked us in was very efficient, friendly and chatty in manner. For a short stay it is certainly a hotel to consider.

4/10 Fair

Tired hotel not worth the price couldn’t recommend. Twin room beds uncomfortable curtains hanging off had to climb up and fix to ensure light wasnt coming in. Booked 3 course evening meal granted we didn’t check in until 6pm but reception staff rushed us to restaurant immediately didn’t even get chance to take suitcases to room saying there was only 1 sitting & that was 6pm only to find it was a buffet which hadn’t even started… put a dampener on the stay immediately. Then they ran out of desserts at least myself and 3 other diners only had 2 courses wasn’t offered an alternative but did hear lady on next table ask for some ice cream instead which she got. Breakfast really poor fruit range . On offer tinned peaches and pears nothing fresh and everything was packed away immediately @ 9.30am if I had wanted an extra slice of toast I would’ve been out of luck. Nice view from room and that is genuinely the only positive I can think of

I’ve avoided this hotel in the past and it being also a Britannia hotel it has a reputation as it attracts coach parties, stag and hen parties and old people who have outdated 1950s views towards the lgbtqi + community. After my Blackpool B&B cancelled my booking because I have disabilities and I’m part of the LGBT community this was the only hotel left as it was Blackpool pride weekend. An email was sent to check if the hotel was non binary, intersex and lgbt friendly and my booking was confirmed. Room 153 was run down and dark as there was no view and windows had frosted glass in them as it’s a Britannia hotel it is run down with holes in the wall by electrical sockets . Room was clean and quiet and had a big bed . Staff are friendly and use the correct pronouns for non binary people. This hotel is like a can of cheap beans, useful if your and a budget and don’t mind roughing it .

2/10 Poor

We stayed at savoy blackpooland here is a list of the worst complaints that we suffered as two 80year olds My wife and myself paid over £1000 ,to stay and spent two nights with no heating had to wear our outdoor coats in bed The lifts was not working for 3 days and I walk with a stick It took 2 days to get heaters for our room and one of them was broken Because I recently suffered heart failure tackling stairs was a gamble After our meal we had to sit in a freezing lounge We we were given 3 different times for breakfast service by members of staff and had to get meals in Our suite was never. Cleaned during the whole week we stayed Could not get a drink of coffee after 8 pm Food was good Reception was quick
