About The Ritz London

Iconic luxury hotel in West End, near Buckingham Palace

Classic opulence
One of the world’s most famous luxury hotels, The Ritz London sparkles in the heart of Piccadilly in the West End. You'll be steps from the Tube, and a pleasant stroll from Buckingham Palace through neighboring Green Park.

An attraction in itself
Theaters, restaurants, and shops teem in nearby streets, and you escape the bustle in St. James’s – London’s oldest Royal Park. Yet The Ritz isn't just surrounded by attractions – for many, it is the attraction!

Putting on the Ritz
Guests heartily recommend The Ritz's famous afternoon tea, featuring smoked salmon sandwiches, freshly baked scones, and clotted Devonshire cream. Reserve a table at the Michel Star winning The Ritz Restaurant on Saturdays, and you'll be treated to live music and 4 courses of decadent British cuisine.

Glorious guestrooms
The Ritz London's high-ceilinged guestrooms live up to their reputation for classically opulent style. You'll feel like you're sleeping in a French château, with some rooms boasting beautiful antiques, heavy curtains, and ornamental fireplaces. All rooms include complimentary wireless Internet access, TVs with DVD players, and iPod docking stations.

A marvellous treat for any family
Staying at the Ritz was intended as a huge family treat. I am glad to say it not only met but surpassed all of our expectations. Staying at this hotel is magical, the service, food and decor is faultless and more than that the whole experience makes young and older alike feel very special. One might think that such a grand experience could be daunting or intimidating, however, the reverse is true. The staff are some of the most courteous, helpful and welcoming of anywhere I have stayed. There is good reason why this is one of the world's top hotels and has maintained that class for over a century.

POOR SHOW
A bit smoking mirrors. Plenty of staff not doing very much. Asked for a tea spoon at breakfast and it took 7 minutes. Also had someone else's birthday can and card sent to our roomP Because of poor reception in the room I had to use the phone in my room instead of my mobile. One call lasted under 30 minutes to a UK number and I was charged £132 another was 16 seconds and it cost £5.50p. There was NO note at the phone about these exorbitant charges. I spoke to reception at check out and complained and was told I would hear from them when she had spoken to her manager. That was more than 24 hours ago and I have still not heard from them. Poor show for a World renowned hotel. Ps. NO Sound on TV.

Some special occasion places are not worth the money or the hype, but the Ritz really is, it's just lovely. Nb you can't go into any eating areas with trainers, even posh ones! We didn't have the right shoes :)
