Friendly staff, hotel needs love
The decor is dated and the rooms were hot without air conditioning, although fans were available. The service was friendly and I believe the room to have been cleaned. The carpets in the room (and the same for those of my colleagues) were worn and very stained/saturated in years of dirt by the looks of things. Hated having to walk on them with bare feet. Lovely staff, beautiful building and central location. In dire need of a facelift inside the rooms. I had booked early and so had a reasonable rate, but my colleague booked closer to the check in date. His value for money was terrible. If this is for a holiday or weekend visit, try another hotel for better value.

Stayed in hotel many times but very disappointed this time. Staff very slow and not particularly friendly. Was given room 411 after saying I only had booking for one room instead of two, even though I had confirmation emails of the two rooms, then on checking out was told several times I had to pay when I had already paid both rooms. Room was very musty smelling and really not very pleasant. Room cold when we arrived so put heater on which made the smell worse. Very disappointed.
