Some of the rooms are renovated but we were in an older one that had pretty gross carpet. There is no A/C which most of the year would be fine but we were there during warm weather. There was a small fan to use in the room. We liked the filtered water in the hallway. Breakfast onsite was good but not any cheaper or better than a local cafe. Location was good, the pub next door was loud one night but not too bad. Staff was super nice.

The room was smaller than expected. Our room was on ground floor and had no windows but had a skylight. Problem was there was no way to stop light coming in. As it was spring and sun coming up early would get woken up by the light. Suspect because room booked through booking website and not directly that the less quality rooms are allocated this way. All that aside the hotel is well maintained has very helpful and friendly staff. Its location is perfect for Temple Bar night life. If skylight was left ajar you could hear nearby pub but when closed no noise at all. Easy walk to many other attractions There is an excellent cafe next door also. I would definitely stay at Hansel’s again and hope to get a different room.
