Solid HIE hotel, good location for links by M6
Unfortunately it's one of the old school HIE and needs some refurb/updating
Bar/restaurant area was uninviting, but luckily there is a decent pub next door
Rooms are ok but in need of TLC and updating:
Cracked tiles in bathroom
Worn carpets
No sockets anywhere near the bed for phone charging

It wasn’t too bad staying there. The only downside was the duvet covers with a children and not big enough for adults. They need to look into buying bigger duvet quilts.

Road noise
This Holiday Inn is exactly as you would expect. Basic but adequate rooms with everything you need. Ironing board and kettle in room but no fridge. On a main road with lots of options for food nearby but no on site restaurant for anything other than breakfast. A lot of road noise, particularly ambulances throughout the night.

The bed was fine for one night and the shower was good. However, the sink in the bathroom smelt of sewage when the water was run.
