Hotel was nice but the room assigned to us was overlooking the Jet Ski area where every day in the mornings we were awoken by a ATV used to take the Jet Skis on trailer to the waters edge. The ATCV had no muffler on it and for over one hour or more the backfiring and loud exhaust noise from this ATV awoke us and continued to rock the room. At night the procedure would start again for 6pm to 730 PM.= later the second night as they were in the dark bringing everything in from a good rental day. Complained about the loud AYV but it went on death ears for the morning we checked out it was business as normal at the Jet Ski rental and the ATV. Also there are too many hidden charges not assigned to the room rate of this property. Be forwarded you will be charged $80-$82.00 daily for these fees. I can see the parking charges but the $40.00 a day resort fee is a little high. Rooms also have paper thin walls as I could hear all the conversation in the room next to us including the barking dog across the hall, Thank you but we will not be back. Not at the rates we paid. Happy Labor Day.

Best hotel beach in Key West
My family and I have been going to the Casa yearly for over a decade. We love that it is located on the quiet part of the island, away from the bars and noise. This is not a party hotel. We walk to Duval Street if we are in the mood, but there are several great restaurants in the neighborhood near the hotel. The Casa Marina exterior and public rooms are very elegant. The lobby is lovely and the pool/beach area is terrific. The rooms, however, are smallish and a little tired. However, the beds are comfortable and the housekeeping staff was very attentive. This is a big hotel so the pool/beach staff are very busy, but they always found chairs and umbrellas for us. Most of the staff was friendly and helpful. The poolside restaurant was good for lunch, but nothing special; the dinner we had on the beach was excellent! The tables are placed on the sand with torches and candles providing the light after sundown--very romantic--and the food was great. The only issue we had was with the bell captain. We arrived on a Friday after midnight because of flight delays, and he refused to help us with our baggage. I have no idea why. I had a child and two older relatives in mobility scooters with me and had to drag three suitcases up to our 4th floor rooms. It was not a pleasant welcome to a hotel for which I was paying more than $500 per night, per room. I was really shocked by this incident because the bell staff is usually so helpful.

The ocean view from the hotel is excellent. The adult and family pools are very nice as well. The hotel can use some updating. Most in town activities such as bars, restaurants, museums, and shops are within waiting distance (20 plus mins) or by bicycles and scooters can get you there in minutes or Taxi ride across town for around $10. The hotel itself overall is ok. Don’t expect any free parking, although valet parking is available for $35 per day. We found parking on a side street of the hotel. No free ride to any ports from hotel to any boats excursions either, taxis are always available waiting outside of hotel. We were a little disappointed upon returned from a morning excursions around 1:30 PM that our room has not been cleaned. It was not until 2:35PM housekeepers came by while we were napping so we declined service and just ask for some clean towels only. The staff are very nice and helpful but efficiency is not their thing. It took 45 mins for our bags to be brought up to our room and over an hour for additional coffee pods from time of request. If I were to return to the Keys, I would probably stay at other hotels across town.

Wonderful place but a little more courtesy please
Wonderful place. Staff not so available, excluding for a young boy that was very kind, staff was not so likely. I suppose that a luxury and expensive hotel like that should care more about costumers and should offer some (free or discounted) services, like bike rental, shuttle to the airport ("we do not do anything like that, you'd better ask yourself for a taxi"). Wonderful breakfast but 34 dollars each seems much expensive! Last thing: as a costumer arrives, why don't they spend 3 minutes explaining him the 4-5 attractions of Key West (main street, sunset place, Hemingway house and some sport activities) giving him some suggestions? I expected them to be more kind and helpful. Bar prices and other pretty expensive, but it's Astoria,so ok. Excluding these small "faults", everything is excellent: location, cleaning, position, etc.

Poor 2.0
BED BUGS!!!! Both my child and I were bitten.
Upon check-in- things were a mess. I really felt that I was patient and understanding as to the room conditions and to how busy the hotel was. But, the curtains were ripped from their hooks, the floor was sticky, the bathroom sink was stained and dirty, the room safe was not working properly, the gift my husband ordered to be in our room upon arrival for my son was not there....and we hoped for a room with double beds and said we were willing to wait to be accommodated. However, all of this pales in comparison to the fact that we were very clearly bitten in the night by bed bugs. For which, we left early and drove back to Miami for our last night. This cost me an additional $700 to do so as well as the fact that we were not able to redeem our last night with you. I chose not to make a scene in the lobby or upset other customers. But, made a phone call the next morning while calming explaining to the room manager the issues. I have pictures of the bites. Both on myself and my son. My husbnad called several times only to be placed on hold for over 25 minutes both times and then hung up on to what appears intentional! This is not acceptable in any way. And, then I receive a message stating that on SUNDAY, EASTER DAY- you somehow were able to get a pest specialist to thoroughly inspect the room? That seems quite incredible and in fact, bed bugs are very difficult to spot on a glance. Regardless, I have no further way to express my distaste except to give you a review
