Beware additional costs
Be aware that the price on the website is not the price you pay. There are facility fees of almost $30 per night, plus city taxes.

Disappointing and then concerning
I was disappointed by my stay at the Redbury. I thought this could be a regular option for my NYC work trips and taking an umbrella out on the first night to get a takeaway it was hitting the spot. However, I somehow still have hot sauce and chopsticks in the morning five days later. They were not cleaning the room properly and this was obvious when toiletries were not replaced. I noted by the third day that there was no doorman helping with the heavy entrance doors, a touch of class missing. Whilst this is an old historical hotel recently reopened I gave them the benefit of the doubt, but whilst checking out I noted that under the bed was filthy. Not cleaning is apparent in room 925. Upon checking out I thought I would be asked as I am in the service oritented US 'How was your stay' but no. Instead there was a $6 minibar bill and over $100 in taxes. I queried this and then told them about the (lack of) cleaning, no shampoo for three days, filth under the bed and suddenly the bill went away. I was told a manager would confirm over email the waive of this $100+ bill in addition to $1100 prepaid for the stay. Instead I was sent a copy of the receipt saying I refused to pay the $100+ bill. I complained that this was not correct, a defamation of character and asking if a manager will want my feedback and for them to justify the $100+ bill. Instead they have confirmed the total bill a s offered a discount against a future stay. The whole episode is Really concerning. Best avoided
