Very good 8.0
Good for the money.
I chose this hotel for its location and it certainly was a terrific spot to be if you like shopping at the major department stores. The linen and towels were first rate as well as the bed. The bathroom was a bit too small and the heater was so close to the toilet that it was impossible not to burn yourself while using the commode. Otherwise, the staff was friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our stay

Rm.234 need renovation...
Some staffs, especially front officers were very helpful. Concierges that we spoke were not really helpful and lack of information. We stayed in RM234, junior suite, was nice and spacious. Unfortunately TV in living room had only 4-5 Middle East language channels and TV in bedroom had problems due to not compatible with its remote controller, heaters in both rooms were broken on our arrival day. TV’s were fixed on the next day but heater couldn’t b fixed during our 2 nights stay. Since we had been through few problems, they provided us a changing room for freshen up, a standard room, on our departure day instead of giving us a late check out. Standard room was very tiny but heaters were new. so, I strongly suggest hotel to update RM234. We believed that if nothing goes wrong, it could be our memorable stay in your luxury hotel. Additionally, housekeeping forgets refilling amenities such cotton butt, teas and bath salt. Obviously, including TV and heater problems, hotel should strengthen a room check function.

Good 6.0
Liked the location. Did not like: extremely loud but weak AC in the room, having to give the room key to front desk and wait to get it when returning, only one elevator and it was broken for one day, no coffee/tea maker in room, towel warmer could not be turned off which made the tiny bathroom very hot during the heat wave, and the weak room AC did not have cooling effect for the bathroom

Good 6.0
The Capital used to be an amazing hotel with excellent staff. It still has excellent staff but a few things have changed since the last time I stayed there (about 2 years ago). The rooms are dated and in need of a refresh, basic things are no longer available without quite a bit of effort (e.g. no tea or coffee facilities in the room unless you ask on a daily basis for them, and even then we made do mostly with our own supplies), and be careful with the fridge! There are no mini bar items - or at least there wasn't for us - but there was a couple of bottles of water which we had received free in other 5 star hotels over our couple of week trip to England. At the Capital we got charged for them. The staff are still wonderful, but I'm not sure that makes up for the rest anymore.

Exceptional 10.0
Extraordinary hotel experience
Our experience at this hotel was simply extraordinary. The location is perfect - I do not believe there could be a better location for shopping in London. Located literally right around the corner from Harrod's and Sloane Street. The staff were delightful to a person. They harken back to times when people actually took pride in their work and went about it with vigor and genuine interest. This was a most delightful surprise - even in a 5 star hotel. The entire hotel projected a warm and welcoming vibe. Very traditional (which we love and appreciate) and tastefully decorated. Our room was extremely comfortable and very quiet. The bed was perfect. The shower was also outstanding. They provided an oversized room safe, which was a welcome touch. Did I mention that the service was extraordinary? Without a doubt, this will be our new "go to" hotel when visiting London. I simply cannot say enough good things about our experience at this property.
