Great stay and got a tad fitter
Fantastic thoroughly enjoyed every part of our stay ….Our room no 23 was just beautiful excellent views across the field and river .Only thing is if your not too fit or able bodied it’s at the very top of the castle and involves a lot of steps to the room ..And in the morning expect to run the taps for at least ten mins before the water runs through..Breakfast was great with lots of choice .Evening meal in the dungeon restaurant is really nothing short of amazing.Food is top notch and the setting equally as good .Will return for definite

We stayed in a castle!!!!
Absolutely loved our stay here, Daniel and John where so knowledgeable about the building and John even took us on a tour. All the staff where welcoming and friendly and we would definitely stay again. The location was just perfect and the building is steeped in history, what’s not to love.

6/10 Good

Really liked the castle and it's old rustic energy. Didn't like the Ghost at night that knocked hard on our door and when we opened it no one was there lol. Definitely haunted, as it was built in the year 1042 and the oldest inhabited castle in Scotland. Some of the locals told us it's the most haunted castle in all of Scotland and possibly the UK. Really scared me haha. The only part was we were a bit late to the dungeon dinner as we couldn't get a Uber from the golf course to the castle. After finding out 1 hour after waiting for our Uber that Uber doesn't run in that are. We got a taxi, made it to dinner 15 mins late and one of the tall caucasian waiters was very rude. We're both Asian Canadian so we definitely felt racism there. ' Everyone else in the whisky room at the same time before the Dungeon dinner were Caucasian and he was extra nice to them and extra rude to us. Won't be going back again. Not because the ghost but most likely due the racist waiter. Other staff were pleasant though!
