Very good 8.0
Wonderful except service in the bar.
Such a lovely hotel, the rooms were clean and very comfortable. The staff overall were very helpful and friendly. The only downside was we were recommended to try the bar in the hotel after our trip to the theatre as we were checking in. However when we went that evening we were told in a very short manner there was no room for us to have a drink, we were not even asked if we were guests in the hotel. Other than that one moment the rest of the stay was a delight.

Fine public areas, good service, room a bit dull
Excellent service and good facilities. Truly excellent bar called Scarfes (sic) eith huge fireplace. Very limited choice of wine by the glass. Room featured a hideous round table and a dull colour scheme, not impressed by either.

Nice pre-Christmas break
Great stay, public areas are opulent and chic, bedrooms more business like and lighting a tad lacking, but generally the hotel seemed to be “happening” and bussling with clientele, Christmas ‘do’s” and busy restaurants and bars.
