Great "recovery" and impressive customer service!
The hotel allowed a very early check-in since we were visiting for one night after an out-patient family surgery at a nearby clinic. Plus the patient had to return to the clinic the next morning for two appointments.
Usually hotels are pretty quiet... unfortunately the fire alarm began ringing (a false alarm) which continued on-and-off for the next 5-6 hours! YIKES!! Terrible sound and impossible environment to even sit in the room - much less rest after surgery. Crazily, it was more comfortable to be outside in the 90 degree heat. Poor choices...
Finally sometime late evening, the ringing ended for good after many hours of work by the fire alarm tech and the fire department! WELL DONE!! WOOT! Y'all ROCK!
We were rather upset about the ridiculous situation and kept asking the front desk if they would help us relocate to another hotel (although most were completely booked when we checked).
In the am they kindly allowed us a late check-out as well!! We went to our Doc appts and when we returned to check out there was a nice letter from the GM: Mr. Steve Firstenberg who gave us the FULL CREDIT for the cost of the room due to the unfortunate circumstances!
WOW! Great recovery as well as fantastic integrity and thoughtful customer service by him and everyone on his team. We would definitely return!
