    Worst Room in Fairmont Victoria!

I booked 2 nights. I was given the worst room in the hotel: facing all these huge noisy and crazy machine fans (see photo). After discussion, I was given a much better room. However, the cool air-conditioners inside the room are extremely noisy!

    Perfect location!

There's no question of a doubt that this hotel is situated in the perfect place in the heart of Victoria. Our room was very nice and clean and we slept extremely well on a very comfortable bed. We enjoyed a couple of sessions in the pool/ jacuzzi and spent a couple of hours enjoying drinks in the baright. We did not eat at the hotel, instead opting to dine out so cannot comment on the hotel restaurant -the afternoon tea looked amazing though. Our only criticism is, unfortunately, the hotel charge a lot of taxes and you even have to pay for wifi which in this day and technology age we did find a bit of a cheek for the average touring guest.

We've always wanted to stay here and weren't disappointed. For the price shouldn't wi fi be free though.

    Beware the extras.

Great location and amazing building, but the little things - WiFi and breakfast, are all add-ons. When you pay hundreds of pounds/dollars for a room for the night, you expect free WiFi! That said, room and bed very comfortable.

Hotel was fairly empty yet they put us in a room opposite the harbour; no room service; price high for what you get; no bathtub in room
