Wonderful historic accommodation overlooking the r
This was a beautiful historic property on the edge of the river. Our room was large and very comfortable with lovely views of the river. The food was excellent. The ancient Knights Templar room is a must see. Highly recommended!

A Birthday Surprise
From the time we stepped through the front door this hotel started to live up to it unique character. A lot of the rooms face out onto the river Dee on Royal Deeside just an hour drive from the Queens Scottish home at Balmoral. We received the key to our lovely room very spacious,.A round table in the window so you can sit with a glass of something or just a cup of tea/coffee and watch them playing golf across the river or just watch the river flowing past. We had dinner in the Poachers Bar and the service was just fantastic as was the food and very reasonable priced. If you are looking to come to this part of Scotland then Maryculter House Hotel is one to put your list of maybes. Don't take our word for it, phone them or look them up online for a deal.

Nice surprise at a great price.
Beautiful hotel with excellent service. Not a fan of shower over bath or the huge bathsheets, but the bathroom was nice and big. The mattress was a bit on the hard side but a good mattress topper would fix that. Breakfast was fantastic as were the staff. The river view from room was so relaxing. Overall 9/10, would definitely use again.

Very good 8.0
Bedrooms are in need of refurbishment. Tired and drab. The bed was uncomfortable and the bathroom / shower was badly stained. The areas that have already been refurbished reception, bar are really nice

Calm and tranquillity with fantastic views
Fantastic and historic hotel. Built on the 12 th century Knights Templar’s site and right on the river Dee. Very quiet rooms and beautiful scenery. Highly recommended from me.
