The Metropole Hotel
Fabulous Staff
Fabulous hotel with the most amazing staff. Can honestly say I have never been treated better by staff from reception, concierge, bar and restaurant. All of them are more than happy to help. The room was newly updated and very modern and clean, bed was very comfortable. Food was really nice, I ate twice in the hotel bar/restaurant and also had breakfast which was freshly cooked. The only thing to be aware of is the road the hotel is on is very busy- all day and all night. Great location if you want to be close to the bars but keep your windows shut if you want some peace and quiet. There was no loud music or people shouting, just constant road noise. Other than that this is a fabulous hotel and I would not hesitate in booking again!!

Perfectly located
Peaceful, clean and convenient. Perfect location for us – not in the centre and not too far outside of the centre either. Trinity College is at the top of Pearse Street and once you’re there, you are a stone’s throw from Grafton Street and Temple Bar. The train station on Pearse Street is also convenient for those wanting to get out of the city and head to Howth or Dun Laoghaire. Staff friendly, rooms clean and pleasant… bar area was always buzzing when we walked through too ! It’s not 5* but it’s more than “a bed for the night”… Would return and recommend to others.

Overall ok
Even though room was newly refurbished the bath was still poorly finished and was grubby around the edge where it meets the tiles. Lifts were not adequate and had to wait for several minues often. Breakfast was ok but service was lacking.

A good city base
A very pleasant one night stay at The Metropole Hotel. We were very warmly greeted at reception, it was very easy to arrange the parking at the car park nearby and we were able to check-in early. The room was small but had all expected ammenities, it was also nice to sit in the lobby and read as it was comfortable and quiet. Use of the spa facilities was an added bonus although they did require some renovations.
