Could be much better
Lovely area nice hotel, a little tired, we obviously had the cheap room! Looking out the window was a flat roof, windows in very poor condition and rather dirty round the frames. We were next to the lift nd the noise when it was being used was atrocious and it stared early morning which was a shame as it was the holiday period and we had hope to sleep later than 7. Breakfast was fine, although coffee was a bit slow found it strange that haggis occurred a £3 surcharge although black pudding was part of the breakfast. Used the bar for a sandwich at night barman was so unwelcoming a yes no ok person with no personality, maybe some of the reception staff could cover the bar they were so friendly and helpful.

Good restful hotel.
Great hotel. First class service. Great quality of food. Bar prices a bit dearer than most. Would highly recommend and use again.

Good value for money but rooms a little dated and in need of a refresh.

uncomfortable bed and paper thin walls
booked a single room. Was small as expected, but did not expect the most uncomfortable bed for years and paper thin walls. Not a good nights sleep at all.

Stayed in the smallest room ever with a tiny bed. Couldn't use the toilet because it was too close to the wall for us larger people! There wasn't one piece of wallpaper that wasn't coming off the wall. TV channels weren't in order so trying to watch telly was an absolute nightmare. Stayed here before but this was my worst stay by far.
