Quiet location, short walk to the main Street.
Booked a twin Design room but on arrival, we were allocated a double which wasn't suitable so we were downgraded on our first night to a standard twin. The next morning we managed to change into our allocated room and were compensated with a couple of free beers that evening. The room was spacious however the twin beds were two very narrow single beds and the duvet didn't even cover the whole bed, so sleeping wasn't very comfortable. Our room also had a full height door into the street, but the blind didn't close the full length of the door, so there was a gap at the bottom that let in a lot of light. On our 2nd morning, we were awoken by maids banging on our door wanting to come into our room as there had been a flood outside our door. Unfortunately my bag was on the floor and became soaking wet! More free beers were offered to say sorry! The guys on reception were very helpful throughout our stay and tried their best with service recovery from the issues we had. The free covered car parking is great, although it is a nuisance having to get out of the car to ask reception to open the shutter, or go via reception before going to your car! Hotel is in a quiet street but only a short walk to the main sights and shopping street. Despite the issues, I'd consider staying again.

Comfortable beds, very clean and some friendly staff. Thr breakfast was superb. The only downside was the fact we had the 'loft room' with slanted ceilings and us both bring 6ft + ended in a few bumps to the head. The room was booked for 3 people however there were only cups & saucers for 2 and the sofa to sit 2 people. You couldn't see the tv in the bed either.

This met our requirements, there were no frills and the staff were friendly enough, although we were locked out for a while one evening after returning from the northern lights tour. Was glad we had a private bathroom as many other hotels in the same price range had a shared bathroom. Overall it was satisfactory.

Excellent stay
Big rooms, with big TV and comfy beds. Tiny sink in the bathroom, but otherwise nice and clean bathroom. The TV was pointing the chairs, not the beds, which for us was not comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. They helped us with ordering a taxi to the airport. The breakfast was tasty and various. The hotel is located central, walking distance from tourist attractions.

Good location
Nice hotel with easy access to downtown Reykjavík. It’s on the pick up list of the major tour companies which is good. Breakfast included which makes the cost reasonable value for money. It was clean and comfortable and the staff were pleasant and helpful
