Nice but a bit tired in the bathroom butbeautuful
Beautiful building nice staff but issues that had they been mentioned at the time would have been ok but things were a bit tired! Shower didn't work - water was not warm enough for a bath anywAy - and hot tub was just a old tatty bath with weak water jets - and there was a loud water pump noise that vibrated the room at 8pm and 8am (on Sunday!) - they knew about it but didn't say! Welcome drinks were one choice and no deviation which was a shame after a long trip - wifi weak - but it's beautiful just not actually as it says - communal area great and clean and bed lovely.

Three day-stay
We stayed three nights, and the place was great. Staff was very friendly (we had a minor issue with the shower and they fixed it on the day, and we also ordered some food which was not on the menu for breakfast and they were very happy to help). The room was very clean and spacious. The hotel's building is really beautiful! There was a ceiling fan plus a (somewhat noisy) aircon, which was good for the super hot Merida weather. Overall, we would recommend staying at La Mision de Fray Diego very much.

Relaxing stay at charming, friendly little hotel
I stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel staff let me check into my room early. The hotel is close to Plaza Grande, so very central. The street which the hotel is on, is run down, but it is lovely when you go through the door to the lovely courtyard area. Breakfast can be eaten on the little terrace here. My room was comfortable, although the furnishings were slightly shabby. There was no fridge , or tea and coffee making facilities. The room has an old style Mexican feel and is in keeping with the historic atmosphere of the hotel. The bathroom was very clean and equipped with a good shower and complimentary toiletries. My room was around the courtyard area, but unfortunately my bedroom had a view of a brick wall! It is worthwhile checking what your view would be. Wi fi was free, but the service was a bit hit and miss. The hotel is in a 17th century converted religious building and many of the fixtures and fittings are in keeping with this. There is a small pool in the courtyard area and several loungers, the water is cold though! The staff at the hotel are charming and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. I was made to feel very welcome and I enjoyed the charm of this atmospheric , old style little hotel.

Stayed4nights in superior room ,very comfortable, very good breakfasts, good internet ,very close to CATHEDRAL zocalo, and restaurants,,-we liked Casa Frida Khalo Thought a coffee maker in room would be useful other than that it's all very good for price, and staff were excellent ,friendly and helpful
