Very nice stay over all. Hotel is maybe a little past its prime, but everyone was lovely, everything worked and we enjoyed our stay very much

Nice one night stay
Staff was very accommodating and overall the hotel was in good condition but a little aged. We did have some warm/cool temperature issues at night. The pillows were not my favorite. There was some construction in the area that made it a little difficult getting in an out but that would not prevent us from staying there again. The breakfast was good and once again staff was very friendly.

Hotel decor & room set Up was perhaps slightly older/outdated but clean. However, the southern charm/hospitality of the front desk staff and manager was 🙌👍WONDERFUL!! We arrived at 8:30AM after driving through the night for 12hrs and knew we were too early to check in (normal check in is 3pm), but we asked anyway not expecting anything. Not only did they get us a room that was ready for us to check into hours early , they told us to go ahead and go have breakfast at their delicious buffet while it was still Open! No extra charge! Super friendly and welcoming!

Hawthorne Inn
The locations is easily accessible to the local colleges and downtown Winston Salem. There's a couple of restaurants and a coffee shop within walking distance. The downsides that I experienced were contact room key issues, every time I left the hotel I ended up needing to go to the front desk because I couldn't get back in the room. However, the front person was always happy to assist. I plan to stay at the Hawthorne again next I visit Winston Salem. It was clean, quiet and convenient.
