About this apartment
My luxurious apartment is the perfect base for those wanting to visit London in style. Conveniently located in the exciting area of Notting Hill and with great transport links, you’ll be moments away from the hub of the city and be able to get to know the area like a local.
The living area is heavily design influenced with some statement artwork matching the soft furnishings. A beautifully restored fireplace hints at the building´s antiquity, as do the high ceilings which amplify the space. Relax on the large l-shaped sofa and make yourself at home. On a warm day, you can take some fresh air on the large balcony which is furnished with colourful wicker chairs and a table.
If you enjoy cooking, you’re going to love spending time in the modern and fully-equipped kitchen. All the appliances are user-friendly and share a space with the living area. The whole room receives plenty of light during the day through the floor to ceiling windows. Admire the view across the street, where the Victorian townhouses are painted in pretty pastel colours, a typical characteristic of this quaint neighbourhood.
The master bedroom has a super king size bed and a sumptuous velvet headboard. Outfitted with plump cushions and luxury hotel quality linens, you´ll have no trouble sleeping here.
Freshen up in the luxurious bathroom - enjoy a soak in the large or an invigorating shower. White fluffy towels and toiletries are provided!
My property will be professionally cleaned before your stay.
You´ll have access to the whole property.
Behind every great stay, there's a great company. Broken boiler? Late check-in? Key trouble? Not to worry: Hostmaker have your back as they have mine, as a host. I have entrusted this successful team with my home, as they've proven their extensive experience in countless ways for myself and my lovely guests. Their innovative multi-channel platform makes everything from signing up to reporting maintenance issues a breeze, and they operate around the clock all year. Oh, have I also mentioned that they spread their wings to many other cities in the world? You're welcome!
Notting Hill is one of London’s most exciting and vibrant areas. Packed full of restaurants and fashionable shops and home to the famous Portobello Market, you’re unlikely to get bored in this neighborhood. Quirky backstreets and pretty gardens attract many to wander the streets of this beautiful part of London. Feel like you’ve gone back in time by seeing a film at the iconic Electric Cinema, one of Britain’s oldest working movie theatres. Alternatively, have a look around the intriguing building of the famously open and welcoming Kensington Temple Church. If you visit towards the end of August, you cannot miss Notting Hill Carnival, a vibrant and colourful celebration of Caribbean culture dating back more than 50 years.
For brilliant brunch, you can’t go wrong with Egg Break who specialise, unsurprisingly, in eggs! The Shed is a modern British restaurant where the plates are small but delicious, all the food is seasonal and the dishes creative; it has become a local favorite. Notting Hill has no shortage of pubs. The Churchill Arms is probably the prettiest of them all, with its beautiful floral facade, checking out even just to Instagram is a must! For a pub with a good garden, The Windsor Castle is
the place to go. Other than the hundreds of stalls at the Portobello Road Market, be sure to pop into The Notting Hill Bookshop, the inspiration for Hugh Grant’s character’s shop in the famous film, Notting Hill.
Notting Hill has some fantastic places to eat and drink. Here are some of our favourites...
Bluebelles - Portobello Road (7 minutes, W10 5RU) Perfect for breakfast. The fish finger sandwich is great. Always busy, so get there early at the weekend!
Golborne Deli - Golborne Road (8 minutes walk, W10 5PS) A great breakfast place, with fantastic toasted sandwiches.
Pizza East - Portobello Road (7 minutes walk, W10 5TA) Very trendy with creative pizzas and wonderful cocktails. Part of Soho House Group. We particularly love the Veal pizzas.
Electric Diner - Portobello Road (4 minutes walk, W11 2ED) Attached to the wonderful Electric Cinema, the Diner offers top quality American-style food. Part of Soho House Group. The hash browns at breakfast are unmissable.
Ladbroke Grove and Notting Hill Gate are the nearest stations to the property, around a 10-minute walk away. This connects you to the Central, Circle, District, Metropolitan and Hammersmith and City lines meaning you can get to iconic London sites in no time at all, such as Baker Street Oxford Circus and Kensington. Exploring London could hardly be easier!
Please note that air-conditioning is a portable one.
