Breathtaking resort. The feeling and buidings are amazing, the pillar houses just outstanding and the spa area very tastefully designed. I loved it. The only downside is the emerald beach that is a wonderful beach that is so dirty and full of plastic, glass and other rubbish. Why?

Pangkor Laut is a lovely place. The staff is wonderful. The big surprise was the wildlife. So fun to see a tree full of fox bats, Pied Hornbill birds, and a family of sea otters who appear at 6:AM at Spa Village. My wife says her spa treatment was the best of her life. The food is really good, but not amazing. I understand that they are appealing to many different palates and cultures. Breakfast was top notch. Lunch was a prix fixe. They could use a less formal ala carte option, maybe a casual beach bar? Also, would recommend that they keep their bars open throughout the day. Sometimes you have to search for the open bar. Finally, the wine list is both expensive and limited. Stick to gin and tonics and Sapporo and you will do better. All in all, a beautiful place, with amazing staff.

Superb over water bungalows with some setbacks

During our two night stay at the Spa Villas we enjoyed a sensational spa treatment, delicious food and amazing scenery. The only reasons we didn't feel it was a 5 star experience is because of the lack of personalised service (majority of staff are offshore contract workers), heavy reliance on shuttle bus transport around the island (including to the beach and around renovation works underway) and the slightly chaotic parking arrangements on the mainland before catching the ferry.

Pankor Laut is the sort of place you dream about when you think of paradise, a rainforested island with white sand beaches, over sea villas and perfectly managed grounds. What makes Pankor Laut so special is the staff, every one has a smile and a genuine desire for everyone to have the best possible experience while with them. It is impossible to choose the highlight for our visit, the speedboat transfer, the beautiful resort, the personal concierge (Dian is a superstar), the fabulous accommodation, the stunning food, the bus shuttle service on demand or just Pankor Laut island the true star of the show. Congratulations to all involved, your island paradise is the most beautiful place.

Our 3rd time here. Honeymoon, 10 years anniversary and now 20 years anniversary. This visit we noticed a decline in many things, dinning options was not great, 3 restaurants only and every night we staid, one restauant was closed. spa area is so run down, spa surrounding needs serious work, inside spa lots of dead leaves needs trimming, siting area by the spa need work, retaining wall by the beach is falling apart. Massage was good but not amazing. Price was high around $77 for 50 min, my cover up smelled bad so i had to ask for another one. Breakfast was good but not great, coffee machines didn't work well and floors are not the cleanest. Food quality for dinner was very good. But prices are very high. Our villa was amazing and very clean. Most beautiful room ever. The villas are well kept and main pool area was well kept and in a great shape, absolutely gorgeous. Check in staff was great we had Kimie and he is wonderful. But check out staff were not great. They didn't seem to care much about our stay. Also, first 2 visits we had the manager personally came to say bye to us and on our 10 year anniversary the manager gave us a card signed by all staff and a nice assortment of local soaps. Also, they used to give a basket or fruits in the room but not this time. We love Pangkour luat but not sure if we will come back. If its your first time you will not notice the decline and you will still enjoy it.

Stunning resort on private island, a perfect trip!

I cannot overstate how amazing Pangkor Laut Resort is! Everything about this stay was perfect. The service was exceptional from the moment we arrived at the jetty for our boat transfer. The property itself is stunning! From the moment we arrived we were greeted by name and were offered an upgrade from our hill villa to an over water villa (spa villa). We loved every minute of our stay! I would highly recommended the complimentary jungle walk which is offered to guests where you get a chance to learn about the nature and animals around the island. It was truly such a great trip! Only negative was the pools were a bit warm and not as cool and refreshing as we would have liked for the hot, humid weather - we mentioned this on check-out and staff were super apologetic (probably our own fault for not mentioning it earlier to them). But overall it was a 10/10 and worth every penny! We will definitely go back :)

Excellent service by the team at Pangkor Laut who served us at our 4 Bedroom Villa at the Estates. Chef cooked plenty of delicious fresh meals to keep us well over fed. Butler was amazing, efficient & thoughtful of us. Staff at every corner willing to make sure we are being catered to our every needs and issues that we may have faced. Overall words can’t describe the amazing service we have received during our stay. One of a kind experience if you decide to splurge on the “Estate” package. Highly recommended!

A captivating experience at Pangkor Laut!

Pangkor Laut Resort is such a consummate hotel with placid environment and vivacious amenities. If you would like to escape from the crowds for few days, you will find the Hotel as a successful permutation of what was in style before. First, the Hotel easily prepossessed us with sedulous staff with jocund attitude! Although the trip has only lasted for three days, it's such a catholicon for securing constant gratification. The winsome natural environment and the vigorous hotel service are advantages indeed, however, the food provided by the restaurants seems to be unsavory with insufficient choices. The blemished and lackluster restaurant is the weakest link, compared to the other aspects!
