Bailiffscourt Hotel & Spa
Fantastic hotel, grounds, staff and food.
What a fantastic hotel. We loved it so much we booked to go back for their New Year package. It's in a lovely peaceful location with a short walk to a lovely beach. The staff are all very friendly and the hotel is amazing with a great spa. We were lucky enough to get a room upgrade as well which was much appreciated. I would highly recommend this beautiful property.

Spoilt Attitude
Lovely old buildings and a comfortable room with good quality food totally let down by really poor service for the evening meal. We were treated as second rate customers, ignored for pre dinner drinks and a later drinks order just completely forgotten. We would NOT return.

Lack of 'can do' attitude from the staff. Food rather average. Beware if taking a dog that nowhere comfortable to sit with him in the grounds.

Pretty buildings, great spa bud poor service
Bayliffscourt is a group of quirky, pretty buildings spread across a well kept area. The spa is lovely and the outside pool was great in the hot weather (although busy for a Sunday and had to fight for loungers). The indoor pool was nice but the room was far too hot so was empty. The spa food menu was good and the sandwiches and wedges we had were great as were the free tea and coffee facilities . The downside to the spa was the strict robe rules, we were told when we asked for some that they were only for people who booked treatments, which meant we had to sit in the tea lounge part in our swimmers which was a little odd. The hotel has a lot of charm and from the outside the buildings are fantastic looking, inside they’re a little tired and the main buildings lounges are a series of little rooms which do feel a bit cramped however in winter with the fires on I imagine that feeling would be cost instead. The resteraunt is the worst part of the hotel the service is pretty dier, the food isn’t great either and massively overpriced for the quality. The courtyard setting is quite lovely in the sun though. The grounds are well kept and there are nice walks, a large swing and apparently a hotel peacock which we couldn’t find. Overall the hotel is definitely worth a stay, the spa is lovely and the buildings and settings are pretty. It’s just not up there with other spa hotels in it’s price range in terms of service and dining.

Lovely hotel and stay
A quality hotel and spa. Really enjoyed the room which was worth staying in for itself! Dog friendly hotel, log fire, superb grounds and close to the beach, nice swimming pools and jacuzzi. Didn’t eat there but did get an orange and soda for £6.65 so wouldn’t drink there unless money was no option. As a special occasion for a normal person this was well worth it and intend to visit again.
