A very comfortable stay in a very good hotel.
Great hotel, we stayed last12 years ago so saw a lot of changes. The room,421, was lovely modern and spacious with a sea view. However the bathroom was disappointing and the towelling gowns shabby. No kettle just a coffee machine so not ideal. Lobby far too crowded to socially distance. No service lift so a fight for a ride with staff. I expected more but overall I enjoyed the experience. Restaurant menu lovely food but no chicken, which I found odd
Can not speak highly enough of The Grand. Every single member of staff we encountered, from the doormen, front of house to the waiting staff, were approachable, professional and helpful. It was extremely clean and felt very COVID safe/aware. Food in the restaurant was delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning again soon.
Our room overlooked the Hilton Hotel air con fans making the room very noisy all night. The bathroom needed updating. Sink took very long to drain and shower was so powerful it hurt. There was no handle on the shower to turn the power down, it was all or nothing. Breakfast buffet was cold and service was slow. We were left waiting to order our hot drinks whilst watching other people get seated and their orders taken straight away. No different options of coffee, just filter but this could be due to Covid so understandable. On check in we were also charged a £50 excess charge ‘just in case’ we ordered room service. Have never heard of this before? We sadly did not get the experience they promote and will not pay to stay again.

The staff were extremely polite and the rooms were very clean indeed, the bed sheets crisp and impeccably clean also. Top marks
Arrived at reception and quite rude reception staff, The preauthorisation was actually a payment and also there as small groups of staff stood in the lobby which was quite intimidating on arrival. The bedroom was of good standard, although the bathroom was shoddy and not the cleanest. Won’t be staying here again.
Just wanted to say thankyou to the grand Brighton team for making our stay special on the 16th of Oct. Also thankyou to Thomas from the food services for arranging a special arrangements for my husband for breakfast. My husband is vegan and is gluten intolerant. There were many vegan options available during breakfast. This hotel is definitely doing all it can during these covid situation so would highly rate. Mr and Mrs Shah
