4/10 Fair

Rugby match
Our stay was fine with most things but we booked a a superior room and it was disappointing for the price. bed was fine. The bathroom was very small and cramped and the bath shower was small with no non slip matt in the bath so I did fall so our stay was disappointing. The staff were good and some stood out like the man from falcarragh in the bar, he stood out and well done to him.

A warm welcome at Flannerys
Desk staff handled our slightly delayed check-in well by stashing bags and finding us in the bar when when our room was eventually ready. (Food is great) Our room (King) was neat and mostly clean although mirrors needed dusting. Bed was delightfully comfortable. Generally staff were knowledgeable and attentive and operations seemed smooth despite the hotel being at full capacity. We always return to Flannerys because of these attributes- keep up the good work.

Comfy, safe, hotel with easy access to city
We tried to find a last-minute stay in the city centre of Galway but nothing was available. We wanted a higher-end hotel and were skeptical about this place but booked it anyway. We were pleasantly surprised and had no regrets! The restaurant and bar provided good food (try Frankie’s original Pizza) and service, the front desk was attentive and helpful, and the suite we booked with multiple beds was way more spacious and comfortable than we anticipated. Just be careful in the shower - SO slippery. Beds were comfy, as well as comforters. There is a bus stop directly across the street from the hotel that will get you to the city center in 10 minutes. But be aware that the cars fly by and do NOT stop to let you cross. We also used Free Now app to grab taxis. The hotel was also a pickup spot for Galway Tour Company’s Cliffs of Moher, so that was super convenient. There are also two big rugby fields directly next to the hotel and we had fun watching the little kids and adults play their games.
