Perfect hotel with fantastic views.
If you want to experience the perfect vacation stay, then this is one of, if not the best place to stay. Gorgeous views of the sunset. Live music, tables for eating, drinking, or just relaxing on Sunset Pier every day. Boats of all kinds cross right in front of you at the pier. Just a very short walk to the wharf where you can watch the cruse ships come in and dock with various activities on the wharf in the evenings also. Chickens are everywhere. They are the locals. You are at 0 Duval Street. Which means that everything starts at that point on the most popular street in the Keys. Start heading east on Duval and you will find everything on shore you will want to do. It compares to a state fair and Mardi Gras all rolled into one. Take a left on Front or Green Street to walk through the boat docks to old town for a quieter time. Plenty of fantastic places to eat. If you like coffee, find the Cuban coffee huts for a better joe. The best way to get around other than walking is a bicycle or a scooter. Check out the Hemingway house and the Little White House while you are there. Very worth the time. This island is one of the ultimate places to be if you like it perfect.

Great view for a price.
The location is arguably the best in Key West. The hotel is at the end of Duval Street, the most active corridor, and at the very west of the island where the sunsets are splendid. In fact, hundreds of people gather on the pier below to watch it. If you have a select room with a balcony, as we did, you have a private show of a very special event. The water is very close and sailboats come sweeping by to give an amazing effect if you video record it. Still, the price is high at over USD 600 per night for the top rooms. We took one because it was a special occasion, our 35th anniversary, and also because we like to take baths. The room had a jacuzzi that was wonderful. Most hotel rooms in Key West just have showers. Still for the price, we expected perfection, and did not get it. The wifi was very weak. The hot water in the washbasins took forever to come. Although, the shower and the jacuzzi were fine. The room was not soundproof, and you could hear the crowd in the bar below, and the whistling of the wind. It was mid-march for our stay and surprisingly cold, so the crowd died down early, so we had little problem with sound. But in the summer, it may be a different story. I mentioned it was our 35th anniversary, the management knew, but there was no special treat, flowers or champagne. I was hoping for something but it wasn't there. We ate outside mostly because of our schedule, so cannot comment on the restaurant. The massage spa was pricey and average.

Good 6.0
For the price of this "resort" I was really expecting more. I will start off by saying the hotel staff were amazing. Very friendly and helpful, and the rooms were spotlessly cleaned. We were greeted with tasty drinks right after check in... I was impressed! Unfortunately, I don't know how this hotel can call themselves a resort. It is a hotel right in the middle of the tourist mess of Key West. Our room was beautiful and ocean front, but the pool was right below the balcony so it was very noisy to sit outside of the room and try to enjoy the view. Overall the hotel was just...loud. Walls are paper thin and we could hear someone in the room above us moving something around almost all night long. There is no self parking so we did have to valet the car which came with a nightly fee and was inconvenient if we wanted to go out somewhere quick. We ended up doing a good bit of walking and encountered some very obscene individuals that seem to hang out behind the hotel every night. Overall, if you want to be close to nightlife and crowds of people, this place might be up your alley, but if you are looking for a relaxing place to stay I would look elsewhere.

Lovely Hotel! No Car Necessary.
We stayed from over the Martin Luther King Jr Weekend. Thursday Jan 12th - Monday Jan 16th 2017 The weather was perfect mid to high 70's everyday cool at night, perfect for a shawl. The Junior Suite Partial Ocean View room was just as it was pictured. Great hot tub!! We had more a view of the Mallory Parking Lot but it was very entertaining to watch all the folks eagerly look for parking for the sunset viewing then traffic jam again after the sun went down. The pool was crowded but when we arrived and were not sure where to sit one of the pool attendants quickly assisted us. Of course the picture of the pool on website missing all the people. Still very nice! We paid $27 a day for hotel parking, will not do that again. We arrived to Miami and drove 3 and half hours to Key West. Next time we will fly directly into Key West spend a little more on flight but not waste money for parking. The island length is 4 miles by 2 miles wide. We took a cab($8) to Micheal's restaurant one night but that was because we were running late to reservation. Other than that we walked everywhere. The staff at hotel were very helpful and courteous. We would stay there again.

The hotel is in a perfect location. However, we felt as though the staff paid closer attention to individuals that obviously had money. The cleaning crew interrupted our time in the room multiple times even though our privacy tag was hanging on door. Caught me naked once. On days we asked for towels only, they would come in and clean, moving multiple personal items including our toothbrushes. It was a very hot week so ac was at a low temp and blinds closed to keep room cooler. We would come back to a hot room, because staff would touch temp and reopen blinds. The room was not what was pictured and the cleanliness of bath area was questionable. Room service was rude and hurried when you call.We wont stay at this resort if we ever visit key west again.
