Room was clean and a good size. Shame we overlooked the air conditioning units and the delivery garage. Staff were hard to find and quite rude at times. Children were allowed to play on gym equipment, and overtook the pool and spa. Perhaps entrance to the gym should be restricted to over 18’s only. Otherwise a good location for the Grand Canyon.

Exceptional 10.0
An excellent and very reasonably priced hotel in a great location. Much better than hotels many multiples the price we stayed at during this holiday.

Service in restaurant slow and deficient. 35 minutes and one salmon instead of two came!

Poor 2.0
Booked a room for 2 night for a family of 4 with 2 kids. On our arrival we were told that there’s no more room and just next to us a couple was offered our room. After wish the staff suggested that she knew there was no rooms on the day but they never called us to straight away to inform us of the situation. What they offer on our arrival was to refund our money and told us to look for another hotel at 8pm in the evening. Totally not impress with their service. Staff was unhelpful until I point out that we had booked 10 months in advance and we have two kids on cold night with a place to stay. Only after insisting for 30mins that their suggestion was not acceptable they eventually offer to find us an alternative accommodation. Avoid this hotel it’s ridiculous poor service and really destroyed our experience for our first US vacation.

Good location for a visit to the Grand Canyon
Good location for a visit to the Grand Canyon National Park. Friendly staff. Bar service good. Restaurant not so good - lacks atmosphere. Standard of food not as you would expect from this standard of hotel. Many other food outlets nearby.

Exceptional 10.0
My husband and I stayed here whilst travelling Route 66/visiting the Grand Canyon. The hotel was beautiful and in such a brilliant location for getting to the Canyon. There was a shuttle bus stop just outside which took you to the visitor centre. Our room was really clean and had an amazing coffee machine in which was appreciated. We ate dinner and breakfast at the hotel for convenience and whilst the food was ok, we found the staff at dinner service very slow and unattentive and thought breakfast was over priced. Other than that, we couldn't fault the hotel.

We were really surprised that this hotel did not include breakfast with the room . When asked at Reception if breakfast was included , we got a sharp unfriendly answer -“ No never “...

The location of the Grand is perfect for travelling in and out of the Grand Canyon, barely minutes and you can be at the edge of the canyon breathing in the sights and sounds found nowhere else in the world. We had no problems with parking at any time of the day and this was varied as we travelled out int he day as well as sunrise and sunset. The lobby has a really nice theme and a lot of character with wooden beams, fireplace and large wooden doors to the bar and steakhouse. the walls are adorned with stuffed animals and there are large comfortable chairs and sofas to sit while waiting for others. This character is lost some what when you enter the lift which was pretty beaten up around the bottom of the walls where it had been bashed and knocked by bags and trolleys and it was also quite slow considering there are only 3 floors. The room was clean, tidy and done to a high standard along with the bathroom and an easy to understand Air-con unit, there was a fridge to use which was ideal being at the grand canyon in August you certainly want to start the day carrying some cold beverages before the sun gets to them. There were plenty of towels and cups/glasses for us to use. This was also true of the pool/spa area with additional towels on hand, the outside area is small and is overlooked by what appears to be large storage containers which isn't exactly what you would want or expect given the location. The pool was on the colder side however the spa was nice and hot.

Staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Room was adequate and expensive for the size considering no breakfast included (£316 for 1 night family room). Buffet breakfast was uninspiring and average quality by US standards and our experience at others hotels during our trip.
