Iceland 2017 - Radisson Saga
The hotel has seen better days. The window in our room was covered in condensation between the double glazing such that you couldn't see through. The wash basin in the bathroom was crazed and one of the sliding doors in the shower had come off its guiding rail so was difficult to close. The reception staff were at best spasmodic, taking more than 10 minutes to book in and failing to tell us that that they had not been able to book a restuarant. These are the bad points and to balance: the good points: The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was unbelievable good with an amazing array of food and good service. The meal we had in the top floor restaurant was most enjoyable with courteous and attentive service. On balance I don't think that I would go there again unless there had been a substantial revamp.

Our stay in Reykjavik was memorable and hugely enjoyable, a wonderful and unique city, a little on the expensive side tho, the only thing that spoilt our trip? The hotel, it was shockingly poor in every way.

Just ok
The hotel was average. For a four star rating I expected friendly customer service with reception staff who were more knowledable. Breakfast was expensive for what it was. Would stay closer to the city for less money and a continental breakfast include some with possibly friendlier service

Decidedly average
We stayed business class and while the room size was good, we did not have not have wifi (even after complaining about it twice) The bed was two single beds joined together, not a queen bed as advertised, and the beds kept slipping apart.

Outdated and expensive
The photos on the website have really been touched up as this property is really outdated and stuck in the 60's. The cost was not proportionate to the quality but then again Iceland is really expensive. The breakfast selection was vast but the quality was poor, looking like it was recycled from the day before. The room was also noisy and the curtains were held together by a bent room card...
