    Book at your own peril

The good - Location. Location. Location. Reception area was brilliantly decorated with a nautical theme. The staff were brilliant and helpful. The bad - Covid proof but skin-diseases?? The rooms were dimly lit and furnishings were basic. Very basic in fact with no drawers. The mattress was okay at best. My first thought while entering the room was that I need to get my eyesight checked - the was very limited lighting and we struggled to find our personal belongings and navigate through the dingy room. The windows open towards the walkway and this means that we have to keep the curtains drawn at all times. Bathroom was okay. Toilet seat was very flimsy and I was afraid it would break. The room felt like one could get a very bad skin infection. The ugly - 50 shades of pink (or beige?!) It seems that Ibis acquired the property and spent the entire budget on refurbishment of the reception and restaurant. When it came to decorating the rooms, it seems they ran out of paint and started diluting so much that every room is painted with 50 shades of pink and/or beige (it was nearly impossible to determine which colour it was given the lack of indoor lighting)! The curtains were made of two different types of curtains joined together by some kind of aesthetic delusion.

    Ibis Plymouth

Basic ibis hotel, in the style of a motel. Rooms worn out and tired looking. No lift, as there are three floors this is a problem if on top floor. Used by a lot of contractors so can be noisy. Usually I would say cheap and cheerful but they have upped their prices cos of virus, so cheaper better accomodation elsewhere.

All your basic needs / friendly and clean

Check-in was easy and met with friendly staff Location was easy to get to and good parking We were staying for 2 nights with our 2 cockerpoo (dogs) hence chose hotel as stated dog friendly Room was spacious and clean, with tv and tea making facilities Comfy bed, and though near the busy road of the A38, it wasn’t that noisy Had a meal at hotel and drinks and was very satisfactory and reasonably priced Able to catch the Euros on the Tv’s at the bar All in all a very lovely stay and would recommend

    Tired

Very tired rooms, definitely in need of a revamp. Separate reception building was fine, staff helpful and friendly but, for the money, the room was dire.
