A very pleasant one night stay in a very comfortable standard room. Tea making facilities were welcomed and the Hotel is only a 10 minute walk from the station. Buffet breakfast was excellent and set us up for the day. The building itself is a lovely historical place and we had a peaceful nights sleep. Bathroom was modern with a great sized shower.

Outstanding visit to this friendly and welcoming hotel in the city centre of Carlisle. Food is fab, rooms sre hugely comfortable and immaculate, the swimming pool is a real hidden gem, but the star of the show is the great team of staff. Special mention to Maggie and Sue who always make my wee dog and me most welcome on our visits.

Nice old hotel, I like staying at these grand old hotels when possible! Very welcoming and friendly staff, car park was small but they found me the last spot when I arrived in the evening later than planned. I was hoping to use the electric car chargers but these were occupied by contract guests so arrive early or perhaps arrange with them beforehand if your electric car is nearly out of juice! Very handy feature to have, even better if I'd been able to use it!
