Loved the art at this hotel. It was like staying in an Art Gallery. Great exhibition! Besides art, the decor was unique and ambience chic and pleasant. It was a great stay! Good location too. Super close to everything, and many fun spots within walking distance

Great location, heart or historic Charleston. Walkable, great amenities, comfortable and clean rooms and overall would recommend.

End of week getaway to celebrate our anniversary. This hotel is in a good location to leave your car and walk all around historic part of the city. Hotel has a lot of cool art that is for sale. Loved the breakfast muffins. Better valet service needed and maybe a little more friendly staff.

Amazing hotel! Close to everything. We were in a compact room #156, plenty of heat! Shortfall was lighter than Luke warm water for shower and shaving. One shower ice cold after trying to get hot water after 30 mins. I gave up and took a cold shower!! Brrrrr!

The hotel is lovely! I haven't been here since before the remodel. I can't wait to come again!

It is an older hotel so a little worn but very charming. The staff is very friendly. A big shout out to Karis Brown at the front desk. She made our trip memorable from check in, to getting us a reservation for a great steak house, and letting us know about all in and around the hotel. Definitely the reason I would come back.

High end in a historical location. Beautiful room. A little hard to discern where it was but overall worth the trip.

Do not stay here! I lived in Charleston and stayed here many years ago before they expanded into the adjacent buildings. My stay was great then, but this has turned into nothing better than a Motel 6 unfortunately. The room smelled like mold. The AC did not work in the room. The faucet was also broken so water could not drain. I requested both items be fixed while we were at dinner and to have a call back letting me know they were taken care of. Neither happen. I called them three hours after my initial request only to find they forgot about it but were sending someone over immediately. I requested a call back to confirm the repairs, but once again no return call. We got to the room one hour after the latest call to find the sink fixed, but the AC was still stuck on heat. When I reached the desk they said it couldn’t be repaired. They offered no solution or apology. After a heated exchange they offered me a much smaller room that was not suitable. We ended up staying at a nearby Inn instead. The manager we dealt with was rude and dismissive. The only thing this place has going for them is their location and a decent rooftop bar.

Great service by staff but our heat broke and they had to bring in space heater. The room was noisy, right next to the main entrance. Location and door doesn’t offer much privacy. Rooftop was great and location is great.
