My gripe is the service charge on every drink and meal, which is ridiculous.

Must drive if you want to enjoy the most with this hotel. Everything is excellent, from the room to breakfast. Would be better if they have the broadcast of football matches XD

Pleasant Break
Couple of days break. Nice quiet hotel and great location if you like walking.

An excellent place to stay
A delightful hotel but being disabled, the lift being out of action was not ideal. However, by way of compensation, we were given a less than normal cost room upgrade which made the countless stairs more bearable. The food was very good and well presented, if not outstanding. The room was very comfortable with lovely view over Bath but, surprisingly for such an expensive room, there were one or two minor housekeeping faults such as one of the lights either side of one of the wash basins needed a new bulb throughout the three days we were there. No doubt it would have been replaced had I bothered to mention it and the shower door would not close flush. Despite these minor complaints, we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay, the staff were very kind and helpful but a special word must be said for Jon for whom nothing was too much trouble. We were sorry he was off work on the day we departed.

Excellent except for cool breakfasts both days, range of breakfast foods was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful except for breakfast bar managers on both days
