Too many issues for the price paid
Hotel is absolutely beautiful and the staff could not have been any nicer. The bed was the comfiest I've slept on in a hotel and the bathroom was amazing. Everything was clean and sparkling. However, there were a few issues with our stay. First would be the room service options. I understand this is a 5 star hotel but charging 71 dollars for a ham and cheese sandwich and a turkey sandwich with two sodas is absolutely outrageous! We also had issues with the phone. They did say the system was down but even the alternate numbers were not working. This isn't a major complaint but the fridge in the room is only for mini bar items. Wish we could have had a bit of room for a few drinks. The major network channels did not work except for FOX , the cable channels were fine. Lastly, our car was scratched by the valet or during the time it was parked in the valet garage. Our car is not new and already has a few battle scars so the damage is not worth filing a claim over but not something I would expect from a 5 star hotel. So all in all, a lovely hotel with a very friendly and courteous staff and I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family. I just hope they pay attention to the minor details that separate a 5 star hotel from a 4 star hotel.

So Disappointed.
The hotel is absolutely beautiful. We arrived an the valet was friendly, checking in was a breeze. We wre traveling with a total of 7 guests, four children. On Saturday, we were preparing to leave to the day and the valet couldn't find our key. We tried not to panic but after about an hour panic set in. Can't find our keys?? But that's your job!! To keep the keys in one spot!!! My husband was dealing with it while we all were waiting in the lobby. It was very uncomfortable. I went to ask for a manager. The manager, Martha, arrived and I explained what was going on. Her first question to me was "Are you in a hurry?". Seriously? I tried to ignore it but immediately had bad vibes. She went to figure out what was going on. She was just very...dismissive. Fast forward an hour later. We're still waiting. Looking. Trying to figure out what in the world to do. Kids are trying to be patient but it's now around 2:30-3pm. I go to Martha, ask if she can call her regional manager (we asked her to do that prior). She claimed she already talked to her and asked her to call back. She refused. At this point I'm fed up with her stinky attitude. She offers us drinks. Lady, who wants to drink anything when you have NO CLUE WHERE YOUR CAR KEYS ARE?? We take it upon ourselves to call Alexandra, the Regional Manager, who tells us that Martha didn't call her. Sigh. Martha lied. In a nutshell I will never use Sofitel. It has jaded me using Hotels.com because it's a 3rd party. Very disappointed.

Very good 8.0
Older, slightly tired-feeling luxury-brand hotel
Our stay - in town for a long-weekend wedding - was fine overall though the hotel overall felt rather small and dim. Our second floor "courtyard view" room had a view directly into the windows of a neighboring office building 10 feet away. The room itself was nice with a very comfortable bed and linens and the bathroom in particular was nicely remodeled though I wish the exhaust fan had actually worked. It took three requests and 18 hours for a mini-fridge to be provided. The mandatory $25/night resort fee is silly in a hotel and location like this since all it covers are standard amenities like wi-fi, newspapers and a small gym (none of which we needed). Valet parking is $65/night so I found an alternative for less than half that price at a garage half a block away. These all fall under the category of "first world problems" but as I know many people pay significant rates to stay here (2 of my 3 nights were free thanks to hotels.com rewards), they were noteworthy.

Very good 8.0
I loved the updated decor throughout the hotel. Staff was wonderful. Very quiet hotel. I was a little annoyed the refrigerator was not working in our room. They did get another one, but it was some old janky thing they just plugged in the wall. It worked, but not what i expected for an upscale hotel. I also felt the renovation could use refreshing. Bathrooms were nice but, paint splatters on tile chipping paint on ceiling and peeling mirror. lastely, queen beds should be standard instead of doubles. They do this because they actually cannot fit 2 queens in the room that "sleep 4." I was overall happy with the stay, but did not feel it was worth $325 a night. Felt more like $250 would be more realistic.

Exceptional 10.0
Fantastic service with a sweet French flair
Checked in 16Nov for one night, the hotel is stunning and in a great location. The staff is amazing from the moment you step in the main doors, check in and out is a breeze. The room was luxurious and immaculate. Had a non smoking king, came with both a bathtub and stand up shower (excellent water pressure, but the toiletries smell kind of masculine for me - but they don't dry your skin out). The bed was extra plush and comfortable, the room was super quiet. They had a decked out mini bar, room service and just about anything you could ask for on site. Even provided hot apple cider to keep guest warm and cozy. Amazing nights stay, 100% worth it.
