A lovely hotel .
Very comfortable room and bed . Lovely old hotel good value for money. Breakfast and evening meals were good too . Great location in centre of town next to castle and parking is in the hotel grounds which is good for a city centre hotel. 14 mile drive to Falkirk Wheel and the Kelpies .

Did not live up to the TA reviews!
Not good. The room they put me in was old, dark and dingy. Definitely needs renovating. The windows I'm guessing are only single paned so you could hear everything below. The seal on the windows is non-existent and the ice cold wind was able to blow continuously into the room. Even with the curtains closed, the wind was getting into the room. In fact, the curtains rattled and billowed the entire time. To add icing to the cake, there was no hot water. None. I did call down to the front desk to complain, but by the time they finally decided they couldn't fix it, it was 45 mins later and now 10:00 at night. At this time I packed everything up to be moved to another room. This room was newly renovated and lovely and clearly free for the entire evening so why they didn't put me in this room in the first place and instead stuck me an old, freezing cold room, I don't know.

April weekend Highland hotel
Quick and easy check in, ideal location and great to have swimming pool, sauna and steam room (although steam room was not working) rooms could do with redecorating but overall good hotel.
