We have enjoyed our stay v. much. Fortunately, we were able to walk up the steep stairs to our room, but this could be difficult for others less able. A sash on one of the windows was broken, so I did mention it. The food and service was excellent in the lovely restaurant. Staff very friendly and efficient. Thank you for such a delightful stay. The building is exceptionally beautiful, the reception staff were friendly, the room was amazing, i loved the dual old style windows and the bathroom with a shower and a bath was great and super clean! Only two issues, the washer/tumble dryer was going for most of the night which made it a bit difficult to sleep, it then started up again very early!

Perfectly lovely

My husband and I stayed for 1 night in a courtyard double and it was a perfectly lovely room. I wasn't a huge fan of the feature wall paper but it was all beautifully done and well maintained. The overbath shower had excellent water pressure which was so nice. My only negative would be that the coffee cups dont fit the coffee machine so we had to hold them at a jaunty angle to be filled. Breakfast was a well oiled machine. The staff were attentive and service was slick and professional. Our breakfast was very tasty indeed.
